Politics Observation 48 hours before election day

Is it just me or others have notice the trend that all the social media (including redditt), and all the tv station there is such a big liberal presence and supporting the liberals, but when talking/overhearing conversation in coffee shops, parks, workplaces etc its overwhelming the support for the conservatives.

Feels like there is two reality around me, one that lives in my cell phone screen and the other out and about.

Guess it depends on what your social silo is.  I don't hear anyone talking about PP positively even among former conservative voters.  In my experience when it comes to politics it's always a handful that are very loud while most quietly nod and stay out of the conversation.

I've got a more than a few people in my circle that are talking about voting conservators, and yeah... funny thing is they don't have much to say about PP or even the Conservatives, just all the things they hate about they Liberals.

To be fair, many of their gripes are legitimate, but so are the complaints about the Democratic party in USA and well.

It's one thing to say "this sucks and needs to change", but people need to look at whether the change they're pushing towards would actually be positive or not.

Canada - like many nations - needs better political choices, but if we choose for the wrong reasons we don't get to just take it back and the future options can be even more grim

I just want the timeline back where Jack Layton could have been prime minister

I want the timeline where trump tripped on the escalator broke his face and decided not to enter politics

They would have tarred and feathered him as a socialist “woke” communist. He would have never gotten elected… which is sad.

I don’t think the world was as polarized then as it is now. It’s shocking to see how far things have progressed since 2011

It was so close to reality. It’s wild how innocent and wonderful 2011 seems when we look back at it now. Mulcair never stood a chance of living up to that legacy.

I don't l didn't dislike Mulcair as much as many others seemed to either, and the whole "angry Mulcair" thing seemed a bit overrated and even artificial.

In the shadow of Layton he definitely seemed less... refined, but his anger also generally seemed to be for legitimate reasons and (looking at where things have gone in politics) may have been warranted.

Poilievre has more support than Harper’s majority, Harper only won because he made a deal with Layton. Layton didn’t create the orange wave, Harper did. This time around, the NDP are siding with the Liberals.
