Weird, Innit? ( not havin’ a go ) Karl's Uncle Bernard?

Whilst watching this movie 'Mary and Max (2009) I noticed they 'borrowed' an anecdote from Karl's diary.

This was also in Only Fools and Horses decades before hand, but sure.
