Corneal Transplant Corneal scarring / Losartan

My 24 year old Daughter has scarring of cornea due to fungal infection . Anyone had positive results from Losartan eye drops? She was prescribed them today by her ophthalmologist at Duke. He said it was in clinical trials .

I didn’t do it but it seems to be great for certain scarring, my scars are not the type that does great. There aren’t any bad things that can happen insofar as I have seen, with topical applied loaartan, worst that seems to happen is it doesn’t work.

Well at this point , we will try anything . Hoping to avoid a transplant . She does have some pinhole vision through that eye .

I don’t know what they are called. Was just told that by a corneal specialist, he wrote the script but didn’t think they’d do much.

I think it’s great that she got them. I hear they take some time to work.
