I love the kindle paperwhite and have had it for a couple years but I wanted a regular kindle that fits in my pocket so I don’t have to bring a bag every time I want to bring my kindle. Saw the matcha one on sale for prime day and am so happy with it! I know it’s extra but whatever haha I really am about 50/50 on each device

Oh, I'm so excited! 😊 I've got my very first eReader and it's a Kindle 12th ed. Paperwhite 2024 SE + the black Amazon Kindle cover. I'm so happy about it, I simply have to share ❤️. Now that the days are getting shorter again, exactly the right thing for me. I'm really looking forward to many cozy evenings, when it's storming and snowing outside🍵.

Hi all. Back in October 2024, I got one of the original Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition models. I posted it on here and the post attracted over 3,500 up votes and 870k views and generated a tonne of discussion. It was sadly plagued with the “yellow band” and I then went through 4 more devices before giving up…

Fast forward to now, and I’ve just taken delivery of one of the new 2025 16GB Colorsoft models. It’s seems perfect! Much less grainy screen, a much more balanced screen temperature and, crucially, no yellow band or yellow screen effect at all.

Hopefully Amazon has managed to fix this across the board. I was tempted to get the 2025 Signature Edition, but was worried the screens would still be bad. Do they seem fixed now, as well?

Since I like fabric covers and covers, it was a bit complicated to find ones that I liked and have them decorated with stikers, so I bought some patches and stuck them to my cover 🌟

Sorry if this was posted already but I only noticed this week - it now says “chapter complete” in the bottom left corner when I choose to have the minutes left in the chapter there, and I have to turn to the next page now in order to see how many minutes are left. Did anyone else notice this ? Is there a way to get rid of it ? When I’m sleepy or pressed for time, I like to know how long a chapter will be before I dive in. Thanks for your help !

Hello Kindle friends! I need your advice.

My beloved Kindle Paperwhite 7 gen that I bought in 2015 finally broke down (the screen cracked out if nowhere) the other day after 10 years of loyal service. I am truly heartbroken because I absolutely love my Kindle and I almost never leave the house without it. I've never thought about upgrading because for me everything was great: sizewise I could even put it in the pocket of my coat or cargo pants, the battery was to this day decent and I sideloaded most of my books using USB and I would like to continue that way.

So my first thought was to honestly get the same one used, I've found some for 80-90€ but then I thought that most of them are around 10yo so the risk of breaking would be higher.

I then looked at what Kindle is proposing in 2025 ( a lot of things have happened in 10 years hah) and to be honest I'm even more confused. I at frist gravitated towards the Paperwhite (11/12 gen) as it's the model I had and yes I can see the appeal of a bigger screen and mostly of the warm light but I've been reading here that there have been some problems with the display on the new paperwhites. And I saw that the Basic 2024 was a favorite mostly because of the size (which I really appreciate as I always have my Kindle with me) and apparently good screen. I know people have asked similar questions but I'm still a bit confused. So if anyone has done an upgrade from 7 gen to newer models how has it been? What would you advise me to get? All opinions greatly appreciated!

P.S: I was truly shocked to discover that they do with and without ads versions now...

I bought my new kindle in April 2025, it’s now August 2025 and my kindle simply won’t turn on. It is definitely fully charged… I’ve tried holding down the power button for 40 seconds as recommended online and still nothing. Has anyone else had this problem?? How do I fix?? I’m desperate at this point I miss my kindle
