I asked what was the contributing factor to their conclusion and they said that I was making too many suggestions for ways to make things work a bit better.
No one wants to hear "suggestions on ways to make things operate better at work" from a brand new hire. That makes you come off as a know-it-all to the other employees who have worked there for years. 99% of the time the new hire doesn't have a good enough understanding of the business to start making suggestions to change stuff at that business within the first 90 days of work.
