Hard call. If you do this there’s a good chance you’re being fired for a reason but if you’ve just been fired after setting that up - and they knew they were going to fire you when they made you set this up - then yeah fuck them honestly.

It really is a tough call because I’ve had employers metaphorically fuck me like this.

That's standup stuff there! Had a foreman " heads up me" I was being laid off in a week. He had clearly faught to keep me. I was young and broke. He saved my ass with that week notice!

Company I worked for did a mass layoff. Got a call 3hrs before end of shift to come in to the office 6:30 am.

The journeyman I was working with, as well as I knew what that meant.

Dude was like, do you wanna leave now or get a couple more hours. I was deflated af, so I left.

Come to find out, little less than a week my boss on the fire alarm side didn't know I was laid off. She was pissed, and was rehired before I could find anything else.

But yeah, that Friday morning, 13 or so of us had to be at the office that early to just be let go.

Used to be, and still am too.

I did take a break when I moved states, and worked at a casino restaurant for a while.

But I'm self employed now
