Thats what Premier League did very well, just like NBA and the other US organizations. I still enjoy Serie A and LaLiga much more then EPL, but on the business level they are unmatched in UEFA.

That actually looks like a lack of HDR output in a HDR file but tbh first pick looks better for football

This is the exact reason I stumbled upon this post. From first match day onwards I am noticing this dullness in broadcasting this year. Initially I thought it was my TV setting but not the case. I also thought maybe its just in some games of teams other than Barca and Madrid but no seems like in all the matches. Premiere League broadcast on other hand seems way crisp. Maybe they may notice this in coming weeks and try changing it or something. Lets see.

This might not be it, but check HDR settings. I’m in the US and watch thru ESPN. When I had a Chromecast I noticed the same thing, just watching ESPN tho. At some point I got a Roku and the colors looked correct. I found out Roku by default doesn’t use HDR unless available. Chromecast always has HDR on and that was washing out the colors on ESPN.

Their presentation output is honestly very low quality. Broadcasters lower crowd noise so that we can hear the commentary team better but it just makes game sound very dull and lifeless. Opposed to how the premier league is presented. You can clearly hear fans and their chants throughout matches and it sounds like the commentary team is actually at the stadium and not in a booth. On top of that the games are washed out by comparison to other leagues. Another Tebas masterclass tbh. The league needs a new creative head.
