💬Discussion Tired of the same stuff
Yeremy Pino to Crystal Palace. Who is crystal palace? I think they are a historically 2nd division club in england.
The same old story. Another player bought by 2,5M € by a random premier league team and that Chelsea or City will buy them for 150M €. (After the smaller team buys one of their players for 90M €)
Honestly I feel less and less motivated to watch football. Modern football has become a joke.

I agree that modern football sucks, football should belong to us, the fans.
However we are far from that... So many points that we could talk about, but I think that one of the main issues is that the agents are basically so empowered, that they can even force transfers against the will of the players they represent. (for instance today Uche will probably sign for Crystal Palace although he wanted to stay in Getafe)
That is sick, I think we will all agree. But that happened too in the old school footbal. (and some situations were even shadier than today)
In my opinion, the big diference is that football today, like society, has become extremely capitalist. And it is only getting worse.
I highly recommend the book Football Leaks if you want to learn more sickening stuff related to the insane amounts of money that the football world moves, its suspicious origin and the amount of surrealist clauses and conditions that some football contracts have.

Not that I would care that much about that team, but that's just disrespectful towards Crystal Palace.

It is. They just won the FA Cup and Community Shield and are playing in Europe.

A team who just won the FA Cup, beat Liverpool in the Community Shield, and are playing in a European competition.

You can only blame yourself. La Liga cannot compete financially with the Premier League. The Premier League pays these players high salaries, and they love it, so they are happy to leave La Liga for a higher paying league. Fortunately, La Liga has at least Real Madrid and Barcelona, which are the only reasons why La Liga maintains some attention. (However, compared to the era of Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, the global attention of the El Clásico has significantly declined, and now most international fans are more focused on the Premier League.)

- premier league sold its league to have billionaire companies
This is the way modern sports operate, both the NFL and NBA are like this, and these two leagues are also the wealthiest sports leagues in the world. For example, European basketball players who play in the NBA receive super high salaries and contribute outstanding performances to attract fans from all over the world. But the NBA did not destroy the European Basketball League, and the European League did not collapse either. The difference is that the best basketball players in Europe choose to go to the NBA and will not stay in Europe. From a business perspective, this is completely reasonable. If you want to compete, please work hard to find a way. If you can't afford to compete, then accept reality. But this does not mean that the league will collapse, it will continue to develop, just with lower potential for growth.

Why do you feel sad for England? lol Premier League fans enjoy the best league in the world, even small clubs have excellent players who have the opportunity to compete with big clubs. If I were a fan of a small Premier League club, I would be very happy. Moreover, due to the strong financial strength of the Premier League, many clubs are renovating or building new stadiums, such as Everton's new stadium. When Everton fans sit in the large and advanced modern stadium, every Everton fan is happy, so this should be happy rather than sad.

I think fans from both La Liga and La Liga 2 clubs need to come together and sign a petition to have Javier Tebas removed.
All I’ve seen this window is La Liga talent move to the EPL and EFL for pittance, all in the sake of registration worries.
These FFP restrictions are far too tight and leaves our clubs hopeless. Competition prize money and commercial revenue are all we have because we can’t ever seem to land a big tv deal that will give us Super Sunday levels of revenue. But then how can teams reach a level of high prize money when they can’t sign or retain the talent required to reach such positions in competitions?
How much longer until La Liga is just seen as a glorified training facility for the EPL?
I’ve been a Barcelona fan for almost 25 years and I’ve never been a Villarreal fan, but when I see the likes of Jeremy Pino move to Crystal Palace for €30 million it almost feels like a crime to just sit there and not even raise it as an issue!
