Carleton Place focuses on existing strategic properties

Carleton Place council voted six to one not to add new properties to the town’s strategic properties list. The decision focuses on existing strategic properties identified through the Interim Control process.

Properties under consideration — including Edwards Drive, Lake Avenue W (Carleton Place High School), Lansdowne Avenue (Cheerful Giver), CP Mews, and Mill Street — can still be redeveloped individually through Official Plan Amendments or the existing Development Permit by-law framework.
