My 3L brief style

Here is how I brief as a senior law student

  1. Summarize the entire facts of the case using AI and boil it down to 2 sentences. Or use Oyez which I find is better than Quimbee

  2. Read the holding on oyez or ask AI

  3. MAYBE read the issue maybe

how am I doing

Well, most practicing lawyers give up on actually learning any new law, so I guess you're prepared for that at least.

sounds right.

[1] your decision-making between Oyez or Ai is a waste of a few seconds, you can just go str8 to ai.

[2] don't read the issue, let ai tell you what it is.

[3] don't forget to use sunscreen.

You're still briefing?

Mine: Volunteer for enough questions so you don’t get cold called on cases. Skip the reading entirely.

bonus points if you just raise your hand and ask irrelevant obvious questions that derail the whole class

By 3L, I just did 1) 1-2 sentences of facts and 2) law/holding/reasoning
