Discussion / Question What's going on at Athlone Town?

The mens team is rock bottom of the First Division, while Colin Fortune has left the womans team despite doing very well in Europe and sitting top of the Women's Premier Division. What's gone wrong?

Rumours yesterday before the game he had l an argument with the new CEO. no-one seemed to know about what but since he resigned there must have been some truth to it.

It’s still odd that you’d abandon a special group of players that he has led through UCL Qualifying, to the top of the league, and to the Europa Cup.

Was it really that bad an argument to let them down like that? Only he can answer that question obviously.

It’s mad because last season they were a penalty shootout away from beating bray and playing Drogheda in the playoff final.
