150+ Sapphic Books Coming Out in the Rest of 2025
A few weeks ago, I shared my list of 300+ Sapphic Books Out in 2025 (So Far). Now, I have the matching list to share with you: the sapphic books out from July-December of 2025, sortable and searchable by genre, release date, and representation. (These should all have a sapphic main character, but not necessarily an F/F romance.) Just make a copy and you can sort, filter, and edit the list.
Let me know if I missed any that you're excited about.

Maybe this is evident to others but could I ask what criteria you used to define the representation listed for each book? For example "F/F" tells me that there is a female/female relationship in book, but what about "Queer" or "Sapphic"? Does this just mean there is a characters who uses these words to define themselves, without an in story relationship or romantic interest? Or are you using those terms as umbrella catch-all, like it's "Queer" because there are multiple characters who are various flavors of LGBT? When something is marked with a "?" does that mean it can be read as gay but isn't explicitly mentioned?
I would just read every book but I unfortunately have a job. =(

Usually, I use the most specific descriptor I can find. Because these are not out yet, I have limited information.
So for "queer", that usually means that's the word the publisher has used in the description. This should just be books that have queer women main characters, but I don't know if they're bi, lesbian, or identify as queer, and I don't know if there's a romantic relationship included or what kind.
Oh, and some books are nonfiction about LGBTQ people in general, so those are usually marked Queer or LGBTQ.
A question mark means I have even less information. So if it says "sapphic?", that means I know it has some kind of LGBTQ content, and I think it's sapphic, but I don't have confirmation yet. Usually, more reviews come out closer to the release date that help to narrow it down.

This looks awesome. May I ask what's the difference between F\F, Sapphic, Queer, Gay etc. is? Some are pretty self explanatory but I was wondering about certain words.

F/F means it has a romantic relationship between two women. Sapphic means it has a sapphic main character, regardless of whether there's a romantic relationship included. Queer woman or gay woman usually means that's the terminology used in the publisher description.

I think I got it. So basically if something isn't tagged as F\F it means the book has some sort of representation but doesn't necessarily have a relationship between two women?

Yes, all of these should have a sapphic main character (including bi women, lesbians, pansexual women, nonbinary people who ID under that umbrella, etc), but only the books categorized at F/F definitely have an F/F relationship. There all likely more that do, because this is based on incomplete information, but those are the ones that mention an F/F relationship in the publisher description/early reviews.

Got it. I really appreciate you taking the time to make the list and explaining everything.

I won't be updating this list, but I'd be happy to hear about more upcoming sapphic books for my own list!

Of course! I was actually thinking of the list up until now. I’m on my phone and therefore cannot search, but it looks to me like The Woman From the Waves by Roslyn Sinclair isn’t on there, and I just recall that being released sometime during the spring 😊

Are these all trad pub or does it include indie/self published titles as well?

There are some indie and self-published titles. There are just far too many self-published books for me to keep track of, especially post-AI.

Thank you for these! I couldn't find much info about This Place Kills Me, though most of Tamaki's books are queer. Do you know if the main character is sapphic?

Hey friend - mind if I pin this at the top? Might be useful for other folks on the sub if it stays around for a while
