Question ❓ I see this has been posted before with not a lot of results, but it's been a while so I'm gonna ask again: any cyberpunk/cyberpunk-esque novels a sapphic romance subplot?

I mean basically the title. Really enjoying the cyberpunk 2077 game but reading is my one true love so I'd like to read some books in that genre

*I say sapphic romance not to avoid the word lesbian, but because I'm not really picky about the sexuality of the characters involved, as long as it's two women or more women that experience attraction towards each other and fall in love or whatever

⭐ REC ⭐ Monster x monster slice of life books?

Upvotes

Are there any monster x monster slice of life books that are really good?

Could be vampire x werewolf, vampire x vampire, ect.

Just would love two monsters who are already together and just happily in love, with different personalities and different overall from each other.

Also probably something going on in their life, they have to get through, dealing with monster problems or one of them is just going through something mentally.

But they deal with it together, arguing is fine but don’t need a third act breakup. They have a healthy and consensual relationship and they are their own characters.

There’s a lot of angst but some fluff and a happy ending.

Please let me know if you know any books like this, I’d be very greatful. Please and thank you and I hope everyone has a nice day or night 😁

Recommend me couples that have so much chemistry it makes your stomach do THE THING, pls I’m in a slump

I just finished The lay of you duology by Corrie Mackay and omg if you haven’t put this book in your TBR yet, WHAT ARE U DOING. This book raised my standards so much it’s insane. The chemistry between Dosie and Jennifer is THE most intense I’ve ever read, the storytelling is unreal, the sex even more so and their unconditional love for each other makes me soooo giddy.😩They are my favorite sapphic couple rn. I would love recs on couples that broke your chemistry scale please!!

Corrie Mackay’s books are also just soooo well written the perfect balance between dialogue and narrative. She just sucks you in from the start and makes you obsessed with the characters. I am in deep post Dosifer depression pls help me get out of it😭

Very good romantic lesbian spicy books for first time readers

I'm looking for good lesbian romance books. If possible, they should have good sex scenes. Of course, the story and characters should be good too. What do you recommend?

(Ha esetleg magyarok is olvassák, akkor tudnátok olyat írni, ami magyarúl is megjelent?)

Discussion Emily Hayes - so many books?

Hi, so probably like most of you I have a setting for sapphic and lesbian authors I know to watch in case something comes up to read. And I’m always surprised how much Emily cranks out. Some are short. Are all or any of them good? That volume begs the quality of the plot and even the writing is generic. But tell me if I am wrong.

Looking for the title of the book

I remember the story starts with the two main women having a one-night stand. Later they meet again at a wedding. One woman is the mother of the groom. The other is the bride’s mother’s sister (so, the bride’s aunt). The aunt is poor, while her sister (the bride’s mother) is wealthy and dislikes her. The setting is a city. I’m pretty sure I saw it on Goodreads and it seemed like a popular/famous book.

Looking for some spicy recs! 🔥

I'm a big big fan of Ruby Landers, especially Ribbonwood and Only Hope (just reread them both and still love them). I have a kindle unlimited subscription and have read a lot of Nicole Pyland, Clare Ashton, Clare Lydon, Rachel Lacey etc.

I just struggle to find something with a good level of spice but still having a really good story with interesting characters. For me, Ruby Landers hits this perfectly and she creates this incredible tension.

Also interested in anything sports themed and spicy if that helps!

Question ❓ books with a enemies to lovers or push/pull relationship?

i loveeee books with a push and pull type of relationship (but not to the point of being frustrating, just enough to have a good amount of tension) and enemies to lovers is one of my fave tropes and i need more books like that.

I loved it most in Hearing red, Bloom Town, Pirates of Aletharia and A Dark and Drowning Tide (i’m trying to hunt down all the fantasy enemies to lovers😼)

i just love anything that has good banter or with a tortured mc and the love interest that helps them heal… i LOVE it. you know, an “i need you but i can’t have you” type of vibe.

i love tension i love yearning i love a tortured soul i looooove when one is more confident/dominant/intense than the other i love it when they get on each others nerves but because they’re trying to keep each other safe

i also don’t really do contemporary very well because without a goal or adventure i don’t really find it as exciting and lots of contemporary hits wayyy too close to home with present-day issues. BUT if there’s contemporary with a good solid plot that isn’t just romance i’m willing to give it a try because some sapphic genres are just too niche to last me forever 🥲

Books like Private Rites?

I loved Private Rights by Julia Armfield (and also read Our Wives Under the Sea). Any recommendations for books with lesbian/sapphic protagonists that have more of a literary fiction vibe? I’m really not a fan of many contemporary romances and find it hard to find literary fiction with lesbian representation.

Thanks in advance!

Question ❓ Spicy sapphic fantasy novels.

I'm talking about magic, dragons, knights, princesses, castles, etc.

Some books that I've loved are: 'Pirates of aletharia', 'Digging for Destiny', and 'Legends and Lattes'. Some examples of non sapphic fantasy that I love are: the broketail series, the enchanted forest chronicles, farseer trilogy, discworld, and the council wars series.

I have a tbr ljust longer than my arm (sapphic and non), but I'm always looking for more. What are your recs?

Do lesbian romance readers read by tropes?

i read somewhere that romance readers in general search for tropes, billionaire romance, age gap, etc and then consume those books.

lesbian romance being such a niche, my view is that most of us read any decent book that's published regardless of tropes.

but maybe i'm wrong?

Hello! I'm looking for people who might be interested in reading my all female character driven horror series. The first 4 entries are complete and heavily edited. Each entry is around 40k to 80k words. Everything is posted on my website, https://dropsofscarlett.com but if you prefer google docs, the list can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1u4fR4kui6gruuEMaAJ96QcTU71gYfhKlbQuYlBnSYSc/edit?usp=sharing

While this isn't a romance book, I'm sure everyone here can appreciate the special bonds shared by these girls.

Very spicy book recs

Looking for something spicy, dark romance, possible masc/femme duo but that’s not crucial. I’ve read the typical, mafia, enemies to lovers, age gap stuff and looking for more. Has to be non fiction though- based in the real world!

Review I feel like I’m one of the few who doesn’t like Hearing Red by Nicole Maser.

I was excited when I found this book because I absolutely love reading about post-apocalyptic worlds and couldn’t believe there was one that had sapphic leading characters.

I’m just over 70% of the way through it now, and, oh my God, I’m so bored. I have been from the first few chapters.

Where are the zombies? Where are the raiders? We keep hearing so much about both of them, especially the latter, yet we’ve hardly seen them. We’ve heard more about the two of them taking cold showers and eating popcorn than things to do with what I assumed would be the foundation of the story.

I so desperately want to like Saff and Maddie, especially as a couple, but I just keep thinking, “where’s the flavor?” Head rubs, smiles, and reluctant mutters are pretty much all we get from the two. I’m all about slow burn, but damn. They both are just flat to me as individuals and as a relationship. I’m 380 pages in, yet I don’t feel connected to anyone, while I’m someone who tends to get way too attached to characters.

Maybe it’s because I read a lot of post-apocalypse, sci-fi, horror, etc. books by authors who are known for those genres, and I wrongfully set my expectations too high for this book. I admit I’m rarely a straight-up romance reader because it’s just not my thing; I far prefer stories where the romance is a subplot. But with that said, I’ve read romance-centric books, and while they weren’t my favorites, I still really enjoyed them because the author created such a good love story. Here, I’m getting neither.

Like I said, I still have just under 30% of the book to go, but even if a miracle happens and I love the rest of it, it still won’t be considered an amazing book to me since it took well over half of it to get there.

So many people adore this book, so I can’t help but wonder what the hell is up with me. Am I looking at it through the wrong lens? Is my English Lit degree failing me, and I’m reading it wrong?

Side Note: I was several chapters in when I learned the author used A.I. for the cover, so that didn’t taint my opinion of the story itself. It does, though, affect how I view the author because it’s so disheartening to me.

Anybody else in love with the Teixcalaan series?

Hiii I've just finished reading the books and I need to gush about them to someone, they're so good! The worldbuilding! The nuance! Her wordings are so evocative it's like she's painting with language. I do hope there's a third book in the works because that cliffhanger is painful. Anybody else enamoured?

Audible (great explanation)

This post (thanks!) explains that many publishers are renegotiating contracts. For sapphic books, RBDigital/Tantor audio is usually the audio publisher. So, that’s why so many are leaving but might be back.
