Official Want to help the project? Contribute to our apps!

If contributing directly to the Android platform feels overwhelming, consider helping us by improving and/or fixing our apps.

We have a wide variety of them, some stemmed from within the project or were imported from external sources (AOSP/3rd party).

This listing includes only apps that can be built with gradle alone so as long as you have Android Studio installed you're ready to go!

Keep in mind that most of these apps were created with simplicity in mind. They may be naive in design, use outdated or incorrect architecture, or have other limitations.

At the time they were built we simply didn't know better, our goal was to provide something meaningful to our users, without getting stuck in a never ending cycle of striving for perfection.

One other important aspect of the project are translations, see https://wiki.lineageos.org/how-to/translate/ for more information.

Simple Screenshot Gesture missing on LinOS 22.2 Motog82 Rhode-p

Upvotes

Would love devs to incorporate a simple 3 finger gesture (screentouch or swipe down) to trigger a full screenshot - as was the case on Moto g82 Stock ROM (and several others I have on other phones). This is super useful while traveling. Thanks for an otherwise great job.

No tablet mode on Pi4

Upvotes

Hello, I put Konstakang v15 lineage os on my Pi4 in horizontal, but I have certain apps that open vertically, so the only way I have for them to display well is to rotate in the parameters of the pi4 but I would like to keep it in tablet mode to make a home automation screen. Do you have any ideas for making applications work in tablet mode? THANKS.

Fixed Just wanna check if this is possible without a hitch... (Tab S6 Lite WiFi)

I already went through putting LineageOS on a Tab S6 Lite (WiFi) in the past without a single issue, but I'd like to remove Google apps and do a fresh installation since I realised I don't really need them on there.

Are there any things I need to keep in mind? I just want to remove the Google apps, doesn't matter how I do it, even if it means re-flashing the OS in accordance to the official guide for my tablet (Which I was planning to do).

Thought I'd ask to be on the safe side, as those same instructions mention I need to start this from Android 13, though since I already have Lineage recovery + OS, and all I'm planning on doing is re-flashing LineageOS 22.2 to remove MindTheGapps... does that matter?

I'm just checking first. I don't wanna do something stupid and end up regretting it later. I haven't done anything to the tablet yet.

Stuck after flashing boot.img on my Nokia 7 Plus

I want to install the latest LineageOS rom in my Nokia 7 plus. I have unlocked the bootloader and removed all google accounts from my device. Following the installation instructions in the Lineage Wiki at step 4 I have downloaded the latest boot.img and flashed it succesfully on the phone. But when I try to boot into recovery mode - keeping the Volume Up button pressed - I get the Android One startup screen, then the screen turns black and nothing happens. Your help would be very much appreciated.

lineageos 22 google frp problem

hi all, I have a problem with google frp.
Basically the first time I installed lineageos 22 and gapps I login in google account and everything was fine.
Tested everything and wanted to install from zero to have a clean install.
I forgot to sign out from google account before reflashing the rom and now I am stuck on google frp.
I know my google account/password of course but login give me problem "unable to login, unknow error....". If I flash gapps before starting lineageos for the first time I am stuck on initial google setup.
So I flash back stock rom and there is no frp error: I can login google account without any problem.
I also tryed againg with lineage without gapps and then istanll gapps after initial lineageos set up So I am inside lineage os but still when I open play store and try to login I have the frp message "this phone was reset......".

What is the problem here?
In stock rom everything ok. In lineageos seems to not recognize my google account. Tryed using different gapp release, but it is the same.
Where are these informations stored? Is there a way to delete them? again, I know exactly the google account I used the first time

Help Pixel 6 Dropping Bluetooth Connection

On both the current LineageOS build and the previous ones, I’ve noticed a consistent issue with Bluetooth speaker connections. When I start playback over Bluetooth (for example, music or podcasts before going to bed), the connection reliably drops after about 4 minutes, its fine after i reconnect..

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any workarounds or fixes?

For reference, this does not happen on stock Pixel ROM, so it seems to be LineageOS-specific.

Nvidia Shield Tablet...

Bummer... I got to the point where I'm supposed to build the LineageOS installation package and I missed that the word "build" was a link to the build steps and I continued on before building. Then I got to the point where it wants me to sideload what I had built and I realized my mistake. At this point I can't build because I have no existing OS. Before I chuck it, I thought I'd try to locate a ROM already built. But no luck so far.

Any advice/ideas/links?

Why aren't cell phone batteries being sold in the US?

Anybody understand why getting batteries is so difficult? I've been researching modern phones with removable batteries and basically none are available or out of stock. An ancient phone like LG V20 you can easily buy dozen of batteries, but Fairphone 4 and virtually every other phone on the market has no way to buy batteries in the US. I currently have two fairphones 4s and one battery became swollen and it's been impossible to find a replacement. And again even if I look to any other modern phone with a removable battery you can't actually purchase any replacement batteries. Real defeats the purpose of repairability. I'll end up having to send to E waste if new batteries don't come in stock. Seems like phone manufacturers are just forcing rebuying of upgrading phones but keeping batteries out of stock? Seems to mainly be a U.S. issue as most privacy phones come from Europe.

My best bet at this point is to buy a used Fairphone 4 with an extra battery and then sell my third Fairphone 4.

Pixel 4XL Cannot enter password after installing latest Coral nightly build

I've never had any issue with nightly updates on my Pixel 4XL, doing nearly every week since years.

However after installing the latest nightly build lineage-22.2-20250822-nightly-coral-signed.zip
on the Pixel 4XL, I cannot enter the password after the device restarted after successful install.
I tried sideloading the previous build, via recovery but it cannot downgrade.
Kindly help!

Fairphone 5 guidance sought

Acquired an FP5 with android 14, upgraded to android 15. Stock android is scary!

Tried to install /e/OS with their nifty web installer - biggus mistakus! Installation completed but phone stuck in bootloop. This was possibly because the security patch of android 15 was more recent than the one in /e/OS, possibly triggering anti-rollback protection. Still the phone wasn't locked and it was possible to install android 14 using adb and fastboot (phew). So, no /e/OS for this phone until security ducks are in line.

I adore Lineage on my 10yo OnePlus3T (still going strong apart from rear camera and torch) - Lineage has been so good to me and I've enjoyed hanging round with the lead developer at Fosdem... so gearing up for Lineage 22.

Docs suggest installing android 14 for starters, so looks all cool. Still... I'm a little apprehensive about whether anti rollback protection might kick in as it did with /e/OS.

Have you got Lineage on an FP5 - if so how was the install for you? The docs are great and clearly tried and tested, but I'm casting around for guidance.

BananaPI M5 (m5_tab) Ethernet not detected

I successfull installed the BananaPi Image (https://download.lineageos.org/devices/m5_tab/) and from 20250822 it worked without any problems. I like to use the built in ethernet connection but its not recognized. (I don't see any network information at all) I also tried the BananaPI stock Android Image (Android 9) and ethernet is working. Isn't the ethernet port supported by LineageOS?

Problem with cameras, bluetooth and speakera

Hello everybody.

A few weeks ago my Redmi Note 10 started acting up and Bluetooth stopped working (i can connect to the devices but playback doesn't work, it behaves like it quickly pausing amd playing video/any other media). Few days after that all the cameras stopped working besides the main rear one. Sometimes other cameras would work fine (ultrawide, macro, front camera). And finally the speakers gave up, they don't work at all (along with microphones). I performed a factory reset on the device and Bluetooth worked fine for half a day, cameras usually worked but would give up eventually. I tried to perform factory reset once more but the phone got stuck in bootloop. I had to trick it to boot it - i would try to boot it in safe mode a few times, then i would go to recovery mode and reboot it to system. I gave up and decided to flash LineageOS, I unlocked the bootloader and downloaded all the necessary stuff and flashed it. The system works flawlessly, phone is fast and it got rid of bootloops. The issue is that the problems with cameras, bluetooth and speakers stayed. I did some research and all points to an issue with persist.img (people had issues with WiFi, mobile data, hotspot, fingerprint scanners caused by this).

Has anyone faced this issue and is it caused by faulty persist.img

Phone is running LineageOS 22, it was on MIUI 14 beforehand.

Unlocking the bootloader - but "Device - Locked"

I have a NVIDIA Shield Tablet which has been factory reset. adb finds it OK. When I run:

`adb -d reboot bootloader` the menu shows several options, one of which is "Fastboot Protocol". If I select that one, it just comes back to the menu without doing anything. If I select "Continue" (the default), then when I run "fastboot devices", there is no output.

Above them menu is the line in the subject: "Device - locked". So I'm thinking I need to do something to "unlock the device", but I haven't found it yet. Hope someone can suggest a way! Thanks in advance.

OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite - Why isn't there any custom rom support for it?

Does anyone know why isn't there any custom rom for OnePlus Nord CE4 Lite when it litterally has the same SOC as the OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite, and that has official LineageOS?
Even on XDA, there is litterally 0 mention of any project for that device. What the hell?
