Like the ice cream sundae A&W flavor. It tastes like chocolate soda, super sweet, probably the only reason I kept sipping it.
The after taste was literally unclean asshole.

I would ask how you know what unclean asshole tastes like. But then I read your name. Checks out

Smell and taste go hand and hand alot of the time. Smell one, usually safe to assume taste.
Not vanilla extract though. Not a good taste at all compared to smell

I just tried this soda. I had to get it super cold to be able to drink it. It’s so weird tasting.

u/ForsakenWishbone5206 1d ago
Holy fuck those are bad. I have them in my fridge rn. Been through a couple hundred other sodas in the mean time. One time it was the only cold can so I took it and the first sip was ok. I tasted what they were going for.
The next half of the can was just pure masochism. I tossed the rest out.

Whole Milk, Sugar, Milk Protein Isolate, Cocoa Powder Processed With Alkali, Natural Flavor, Dipotassium Phosphate, Tricalcium Phosphate, Salt, Carrageenan, Vitamin D3.
So that's allegedly the ingrediant list I think. ingredient
"Natural Flavor" is possible the culprit?
107
u/alphazero925 1d ago
Milk Protein Isolate
This is the culprit. They put protein powder in it. Even in the best tasting protein powders, bars, and drinks, the best they can do is mask it. You can't really make protein isolate based supplements taste good

A lot of the masks and animatronics at Spirit use a rubber that has a very unique smell. And the cheap costume fabric kinda has its own smell too.

I actually make this milk at work. They straight up use a small amount of the same milk powder as Mac and cheese LOL. It’s very fatty chocolate milk, usually Ch milk is 1% but not this stuff. It’s supper sugary (in fact they had to make it less sugary than they planned). And there is a spice power we put in it that makes it taste like a hot chocolate brownie mix.

Feastables is so insane. It really shows that putting your name on something can make it just print money despite it being turbo dogshit. EVERY tuber I’ve seen blind taste test it always says it’s giga dogshit. Same goes for Prime. I can’t believe that lunchables knock off had literal mold in it and it just blew over.

u/Ledoux88 1d ago

They aren’t all the same tho, prime doesn’t have sodium (which is useful in rehydration, Prime just isn’t very smart lol) but in a flavor level I think it makes Prime grossly sweet in comparison to like Powerade or Gatorade. It’s only sweet and doesn’t have that bit of saltiness to balance it out

Mr. Beasts products are trash
feastables is just shitty chocolate, "mr beast burger" is generic trash made by ghost kitchens.
394
u/Larock 1d ago
Why would anyone expect him to make good food? He churns out exploitative, shitty videos for children. I've never seen anything about this guy that would indicate that he has any interest in selling a quality product.
→ More replies (2)51
u/thisremindsmeofbacon 1d ago
For a lot of parents, they know a) their kid likes this guy b) he did some philanthropic things like curing those blind people - and that's it. The branding on a lot of the stuff is health oriented. I like to imagine everyone spends time researching every single thing they eat and picking through conflicting articles, but it's just not realistically the case.
And of course, I'm sure it's actually children themselves buying the products directly, too.
→ More replies (4)3
u/JoesGreatPeeDrinker 1d ago
It's more than just them buying the products, they will straight up get bullied for it.

228
u/reddoor17 1d ago
Then why do feastables taste so bad
121
u/creyes53115 1d ago
because there's evil for content and a little bit of profit vs way more evil for the love of the game and way more profit
54
u/GoofballHam 1d ago
Nestle has perfected their formula of evil over the course of many years. Carefully selected and distilled for it's purity, the lactation of The Dark Spawn always meets the high bar of excellence set by Nestle.

afaik the original version of the feastables formula was actually pretty good. Its what got mr beast his feastables brand recognition, without having to sink tens of millions like now.
Then they redid it, and eventually redid it again (but cost cutting. Not reinventing the wheel)
Now its basically Hersheys, but cheaper somehow.

Legit.
Tried to go healthy a few years back, got an "organic" juice from a new trendy store.
No additives, no artificial colouring, no preservatives, nothing. Just fruit juice, made by people paid a fair wage, made with mandarines from a reputable farm in a trendy, colorful, beautiful juice box.
It even had a cute mascot.
I shit you not, it tasted AND FELT like cardboard, I can still feel it grazing my tongue that vile, lying liquid.
So that was that.
→ More replies (2)32

You have to basically reprogram your entire taste buds otherwise anything organic you are going to try, will taste like shit. This is mostly due to everything you buy being oversweetened

Hype carries them for awhile, but just like prime the hype dies and sales will plummet if a product sucks, I haven't had beasts stuff so I can't say if it's bad or not, I have tried prime tho and it was horrendously bad and seeing it have a 90% falloff in the UK (it's largest market/highest demand country prior) was super validating lol, im sure if beasts stuff is also bad (not doubting just haven't had myself) it'll follow rhe same trend in the next year
4
u/lonigus 1d ago edited 1d ago
As I worked in a chocolate factory for 5 years and among the many types of chocolate i was part of producing (Milka to be precise) I simply had to test feastables chocolate. All the ingredients were the cheapest of the cheap, cocoa beans origin not stated, but it was very acidic feeling. The reason for that can be many things, but most likely it was a second grade cocoa bean badly fermented or roasted. The emulgators also only used in the cheapest chocolate. We did sell the second grade cocoa powder to Russia, Ukraine or around the central Asia area, which was mostly just a byproduct sorted out from the good stuff.
So if you ever got a Milka chocolate in the poorer countries it was not the same quality as the one in Germany for example. I dont know what the quality is now, but back then we used grade 1 beans from South America for the western market.

u/tacotickles 1d ago
