“You post Libs of Tiktok”

Isn’t that one of the biggest conservative accounts on twitter?

u/QuestionSalt8358 1d ago

also invited to the white house and held the epstein files in hand btw.

She literally was appointed as an advisor to Oklahoma’s DoE committee, a position which she still holds. Even if we disregard her entire media platform (which would be asinine) she has more direct influence on public policy being made/administered than the majority of the people included in that doc.

u/SlugsMcGillicutty 23h ago

Including, currently, Obama.

10

u/TrumpsPissSoakedWig 19h ago

It's such a sad, sad world we live in here every prominent former Democratic politician has had all their security clearances revoked but it gets delivered daily by horseback on a little golden tray with a full spread chef prepared breakfast in bed by The Secret Service to Kid Rock, Ted Nugent, Vince McMahon, and the ghost of Hulk Hogan.

You can't convince me that God is not a 14 year old edgelord writing a funny comic book story with his human ant farm with his stupid little friends to laugh at while they get high

It is legitimately one of the loudest and most influential public voices on the right. Not to mention, among Destiny's examples on the left, he also included social media influencers....

XQC literally IS a shit stirrer, water muddier, and just general sycophant who pits us against each other.

Yep. Most of those are fair comparisons imo. MAGA have the entire cult built around ONE guy in the entire party. It's nobody else's fault that they let alt media hold such massive sway over themselves as opposed to actual politicians.

u/lmpervious 1d ago

Yes, but it was a simple debate tactic where he tried to find the biggest outlier, state that they’re an outlier (not even making an argument for how he thinks that hurts Destiny’s point) and it gives him something to focus on rather than all the other context.

16

u/Gedsu 1d ago

You're giving him too much credit. Obamas tweet was top left, Libs of tiktoks tweet was top left. So in XQC mush brain that made him think he was directly comparing a president to an influencer which became his argument.

15

u/Upset_Otter 23h ago edited 23h ago

Only when it's convenient.

In typical conservative fashion he shoot past the main point because then he would have to compare and address Obama and Biden's "Let's all chill out" with the rotten discourse Trump is spewing (Since they all share something in common). So he goes with the "Really?. Obama vs Libs of Tiktok?".

They're also at the start of the first row. So likely he didn't even take the time to read the names, he probably saw Obama then changed pages and saw Libs of Tiktok.

The counter argument was ready even before your opponent has finished talking and that's fucking stupid.

Which is the more effective debate tactic, running away or the worm?

654

"Would you still debate me if I was a worm?"

134

Yes dear

xQc providing a perfect example of how broken peoples brains are in the social media era. Confidently say something factually incorrect then throw a tantrum and continuously double down with how wrong they are.

I saw so much of this on Facebook in 2015 right when I quit the platform. People’s brains are fuckin mush.

701

u/equivas 1d ago

Argumenting on vibes.

227

u/wetrythisagain 1d ago

Yeah even a lot of normal people can't really think about this clearly. It's just generally liberals and conservatives being held to different standards.

There is a thousand things that Trump has done that if a liberal politician had done them everyone would call for their head, but people somehow accepted Trumpism as a force of nature, something with some purpose or usefulness, something to weather through, accepted him as a strongman leader/abuser where things work by different rules.

You see this with farleftists too that during Bidens term and Kamalas campaign tried to demonize her and bully her into submission, but when it comes to Trump they sort of shut up and don't even try. There just is a vibe of acceptance of populism, resentment, controlled chaos, taking those that were previously "at the top" down.

Kirk getting murdered isn't at all different from all the other attempts on political figures in the last decade, but we somehow accept that since he's on the right we can except Trumps wraths, and given that he's a youtuber it scares media and new media figures more.

Years of "facebook is trying to censor us and our free speech T_T REEE" overnight swaps to "those crazy extremists on social media can post whatever hateful thing they say".

82

u/Done_a_Concern 1d ago

I couldn't imagine a world where Biden created "$JOECOIN" and that is just an accepted thing that is now in place

Or Imagine if Biden had taken a 400 MILLION dollar plane from some billionairs in the middle east and is now forcing it to be converted to be used for air force one. And the kicker, I'm pretty sure I read that it was set up so that Trump does directly own the jet, not like America or the government owning it

Imagine if Biden was seen in public with a visable droop to one side of his face?

its just crazy to me how "centrists" will try and say that both sides are as bad as eachother when not a single of the above things would have been allowed to happen in a democratic government

30

u/wetrythisagain 1d ago

Yeah Trump went from basically almost broke and investigated by agencies for schemes to quasi billionaire threatening corporate leaders and foreign countries into paying him off. Blatant self enrichment, somehow tolerated by all those anti-establishment, anti-corruption centrists. Not sure if they emotionally interpret that as him getting silicon valley and a freespinning capitalist machine under government control or something?

15

u/Blacksad9999 22h ago

If Biden had sent the military to occupy cities in Red states, we'd be in the middle of a civil war right now.

Yep, its the most blatant use of double standards and flip flopping.

They're snakes, wriggling little snakes. They try to twist words meanings and factual evidence like the problems their combating are so fucking bad they're willing to stick their brain in a blender to fight them.

We can thank Fox news and other right wing grifters for that. All they know how to do is spin facts and drum up hate and fear.

Its a niche meta strategy for the "news" industry At least for those that couldnt figure out how to make sellable content without selling their souls and damning our nation.

19

u/bobbymcpresscot 1d ago

Well that’s the thing, he saw libs of tiktok, and then just ignored the fact that Donald Trump is up there too? Like because libs of TikTok called for war? That means the other people up there are less valid?

Is also just straight up highlighting “you shouldn’t take anything these people say seriously because they are violent extremeists”

Yet reposts their content?

33

u/Simonic 1d ago

His first presidency was truly the first time I started "unfriending" people across social media.

Prior to that, I had never let politics interfere with friendships, but it got to be too much and too argumentative. The issue was no longer about political issues, but core human values and beliefs.

The last example was when a guy told me that my opinion is not informed and stupid and I should at least Google or chatgpt it and stop refusing facts.

We googled it together, chatgpt'ed it together, I was right both times and he still refused to accept it xd

I now try to hold distance from people who can't accept that they were wrong, it's the dumbest type of humans who will never grow as a person

XQC is so emotionally immature. That absolutely looked pathetic on his end, resorting to name calling and leaving when he couldn't contest a single point

490

u/oogieogie 1d ago

I mean to be honest idk what XQC is really even doing here. The only reason imo to really have this "debate" would be for XQC to learn things because there is no way he would ever win a debate vs destiny.

If xqc was really trying to learn I think that would be a good thing, but if again X believed he had even a ounce of a chance to win this debate thats crazy.

193

u/KinkyLeviticus 1d ago

It's more about forcing xQc's chat and anyone who jumps in to see the debate to see how fucking stupid his position is. I don't think more than a dozen people think he's a smart guy.

37

u/oogieogie 1d ago

I mean that would make it favorable for destiny so it would explain why destiny would want to debate XQC, but what about XQC? does XQC really think he has a leg to stand on or is he trying to learn or something else I havnt thought of maybe?

83

u/KinkyLeviticus 1d ago

Yes, xQc believes he has the right opinion. He believes he can make a compelling argument. It's also streamer math. If you bring on a really popular streamer and there's drama, then you'll get more views. I don't think that math is very much in xQc's favor anymore, but to be fair he's really stupid.

8

u/oogieogie 1d ago

I agree its just strange because I dont think there has been a single debate xqc has won against this kind of stuff.

Every MAGA I’ve ever had to talk to has the same breakdown, they are unable to accept anything that would challenge their worldview

47

u/Derekduvalle 1d ago

What I find so deeply disturbing is how this is exactly how they talk about everyone else. Over the last ten years, any critisism I've seen aimed at conservatives is, without fail, used against the left at a later date. In conservatives minds and deep in their hearts they truly believe that the left are violent racist bigots who don't care about facts and blindly follow what their leaders tell them.

Trump, this morning, did exactly what Destiny was saying:

“What do we do about our country?” Earhardt pressed after Trump continued to complain about the state of the nation he leads. “We have radicals on the right and left, people are watching videos and cheering, some people are cheering that Charlie was killed. How do we fix this country? How do we come back together?”

“I tell you something that is going to get me in trouble, I couldn’t care less,” Trump replied. “Radicals on the right are radical because they don’t want to see crime.”

“We don’t want people coming in, we don’t want you burning our shopping centers, shooting our people in the street,” he said. “Radicals on the left are the problem and they are vicious and horrible and politically savvy. They want men in women’s sports, they want transgender for everyone, open borders. Worst thing that happened to this country.”

I'm no Destiny fan. Far from it but I watched the whole "debate" part of his stream with X. I felt Destiny’s pain. It was very frustrating to watch, and I cannot imagine how flabbergasting it must have been for him. I can appreciate how desperately he was trying to talk sense into X and make him understand. The quote "You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink" comes to mind.

143

u/WilsonMagna 1d ago

Watching the VOD, I was just thinking when xcq would talk and be like "bro, what the fuck did Destiny just say? Did you even listen?" Infuriating. The clip is basically a summary of how the debate went, Destiny gives argument, xqc makes up random shit to argue against as if it was Destiny's position or deflect like crazy to avoid holding Trump and the right accountable.

81

u/Lashay_Sombra 1d ago

So in short, typical MAGA, only their made up "reality" matters, anything that challenges that is either ignored or attacked

This is the most fucked thing about American politics to a lot of us observing from afar. In most western countries, the president/prime minister at least tries to spread a message of unity and solidarity (whether they are successful at that or not is another matter, but they at least try). The problem with Donald Trump and MAGA, and why it’s been so destructive to your country, is they’ve drawn a very firm line in the sand, especially during this second Trump term, where they’re leaning hard into the team sport aspect of politics, where it’s us versus them.

It’s not Team America anymore, it’s just Team MAGA vs everyone else, and if you’re not with MAGA, you are an enemy and you must lose and you must be destroyed, but the problem is when that kind of mentality applies to more than 50% of the population (because not all conservatives are MAGA, and not everyone who voted for Donald Trump in November 2024 is still a fan of Donald Trump in September 2025) then you have a real horrible problem with a lot of ugly potential outcomes, and the sitting president does not care.

If anything, I think it should be the strongest argument against old ass people being elected, because people like Donald Trump won’t be thinking long term. He won’t be thinking about the long life he’ll live after he leaves office. He will cause as much chaos and destruction as possible, and then he won’t live long enough to see how it all plays out because he’s an 80-year-old man who will statistically die within less than a decade of old age.

I really don’t know where America goes from here, because the situation y’all are in right now is absolutely FUCKED.

25

u/Ispeakinfacts 1d ago edited 1d ago

sigh Yup.

-An American

To further add the division has reached our families. We feel crazy because speaking truth to people who raised us or was there our entire lives feels like theyre on the other side of a glass wall. Truth is rejected by loved ones. It's never happening and if it is then it's not that bad. And if it was then it was likely our fault. and if it wasnt our fault oh well try harder. I feel like I have mourned people while they are still alive. As someone who disagrees with Trump and Kirk, I dont wish death on them. Only myself. It's a nightmare that doesn't end.

People in America see it too.  Here’s a quote from Donald trumps own former Secretary of Defense James Mattis during his first presidency:

Donald Trump is the first president in my lifetime who does not try to unite the American people — does not even pretend to try. Instead he tries to divide us.

That was right after he wrote:

Instructions given by the military departments to our troops before the Normandy invasion reminded soldiers that "The Nazi slogan for destroying us ... was 'Divide and Conquer.'

When you have a four star marine corps general comparing the sitting president of the United States to the Nazis, you’ve got a major problem.

Not to mention, which pisses me off more. The "do your own research" response. Which they default to because they have no proof of the bullshit they claim, so they deflect it to "it's there, look for it yourself." When it doesn't fucking exist. And everything, even with proof provided to them is "fake news" due to the simple fact it doesn't fit their narrative. Only the shit they say/hear from their delusional echo chambers is fact.

Not to offend you but, this feels naive— Vance, Hegseth, and countless others are parroting the same shit. He doesn’t have anyone trying to “cool him down.”

Trump is just a caricature of some shitty con artist in an 80s mob film. He has cheesy keywords and catchphrases like this, “ I’m gonna say something that’ll get me in trouble… people don’t like when I say this, but…” and it’s all bullshit that we shouldn’t be reading into.

The play has always been to radicalize and incite violence. January 6, ICE recruitment/budgeting, and National Guard deployment being clear examples. There is nobody in his cabinet trying to prevent escalation.

Trump 1 already had a higher death toll than the towers just from the covid death toll alone - who knows how high the number will be by the time round 2 is over

24

u/fuzzylm308 1d ago

During Trump's first term, there were were just over 400,000 total COVID-19 deaths in the US. That is roughly equivalent to 135 September 11ths.

The first US COVID death was February 6, 2020, and Trump left office on January 21, 2021. So that's an average of a 9/11 occurring every 2.6 days for 350 days straight.

29

u/chronoslol 1d ago

It's not even close. Trump has been way more of a disaster for the USA. Please tell me in what way you think 9/11 had a bigger negative impact.

23

u/Ok_Chicken1370 1d ago

It's hilarious because even if you included all the money and lives lost by invading the middle-east following 9/11, Trump would still come out on top as worse lmfao

I watched that entire bit. Holy shit XQC is brainless. When presented with a proper comparison his brain completely short circuited and refused to look at the reality of the situation.

It's like he was incapable of thinking that Obama is talking properly and trying not to fan the flames, we have trump saying he's going after leftists. One of those is bad. It's really not difficult to figure out which.

It's a constant theme of people like XQC and Asmon. They don't or won't critique one side.

The funniest thing about that bit was when he was reading the comparison between the tweets he tried to compare Obama to Libs of Tiktok because they were both in the top left. This is how a child thinks.

189

u/Freaky_Freddy 1d ago

It's a constant theme of people like XQC and Asmon. They don't or won't critique one side.

Because to them it isn't about who is right and who is wrong

They picked their "team" and now they will say anything to try to get their team to win

They don't debate to get to the truth of things, they debate just to try and discredit the other "team" and make theirs look good

20

u/Kinggakman 1d ago

I’m not sure there’s any fixing it. They go in with the assumption anything right wing is correct and act like you are being unreasonable. I live in Texas and talking with people is infuriating.

I think it’s even worse than that, I think they legitimately do not realize what side they’re fighting for. They’ve already fallen for the shaping of the discourse conservatives do. They actually think they’re being even handed when they mildly or indirectly criticize the right, and go HARD on the left.

I come from a very conservative area, and the most consistent thing about their reasoning is being very poor at statistics and probability. Everyone I know who is poor at statistical reasoning is right wing. I think, in an almost natural selection sort of way, the current right-wing movement is purely founded on survivorship bias for those who rely on cherry-picking and self-confirming evidence. It's like they weeded out any of the rational people a decade ago, and now we have to witness what a party based around tunnel-vision and loyalty politics looks like. And due to the tunnel-visioning and simple-mindedness, they only understand liberals and leftists from their own standpoint and think we think like them.

56

u/ian_cubed 1d ago

I generally do notice an ‘intelligence’ difference quite often

49

u/Acrobatic-Visual-812 1d ago

I am usually too polite to point it out, but it makes conversation so frustrating with them. Like when the lies about the Haitian immigrants were being spread, I could not convince a single person that the claims were false. Not a single conservative I spoke with could even understand the correlation-causation distinction, let along reasonable sample size. Going through this process during the recent election filled me with a despair I haven't felt before. I really began to understand Sartre's statement about antisemites.

14

u/GWstudent1 1d ago

It's an edgy Atheist thing to say, but they believe in God. The foundation of all their beliefs are to listen to what someone above said and to believe it without evidence. And you can't conclusively disprove god, just like you can't conclusively disprove Haitians eating dogs. So they'll just believe it.

Some people just don't want to live in reality. You take evidence and put it in front of someone's eyes and it completely dismantles their argument but they're too proud and angry to ever change.

517

u/Mundane-Club-107 1d ago

This is all conservatives do. Most of them aren't even really conservative anymore, they're just dumb-fuck MAGA cultists.

50

u/Acrobatic-Visual-812 1d ago

When Trump took over the party, conservative principles were finally subordinated to pure loyalty. The last decade has been evidence of the corrosive effects of this shift in the conservative ideology. They can say a lot of criticisms of leftist and liberals but pretending that we are anywhere near as centered and top-down is ludicrous. The biggest issue with being progressive at the moment is how decentered and scatterbrained our positions are.

The conservatives are in the opposite problem, and are already in a micro-tyranny, and they want the rest of us to subject ourselves to the same dynamics.

Typical exchange.

Left: Here's why you're wrong with examples/evidence/facts.
Right: LIES! IMPOSSIBLE! You're what's wrong with EVERYTHING! *leaves*

We're never going to fix anything ever again, are we? We're stuck in this endless cycle of trying to explain reality to people who refuse to accept it. Even when confronted with the evidence. What's worse... is the reason they've become so distrusting is the people they believe in the most... are the ones who continually lie to them and make things actively worse. All the problems they moan about things not working. Take a guess why they don't?

People like xQc and others in this space think as they do because that’s what a twitter algorithm made by Elon Musk shows them

They don’t have the intelligence to realise this. They just accept the memes as truth which is why they fall for “the left is calling for violence” memes because that’s what the right wants him to think

And they won’t change their mind because they believe it’s their own conclusion as well

The difference is simple:

The left has a radical fringe faction that is signal boosted online but does not have political power in the Democrat party.

The right has a radical fringe faction that enjoys broad support in the country and is led by the President of the United States.

When people say both sides, they're saying both sides have a radical fringe faction. They fail to acknowledge the part I mentioned above.

41

u/wetwetwetwetdogs 1d ago

The right has a radical fringe faction that enjoys broad support in the country and is led by the President of the United States.

Not to be pedantic, but can you really call it a "fringe faction" when that faction's positions are adopted and espoused by every mainstream conservative political leader, talking head, media personality, news channel, etc?

Not a destiny fan by any stretch but he is 100% correct here. I watch A LOT of left wing content creators, speakers, streamers, etc. Not a single person has been celebrating this horrific event. At most they have been calling for gun safety laws to be passed.

Flip over to the right and immediately you are met with hostility, rage, blatant out right lies and manipulations, and calls for all left wing people to be killed. Two Democratic law makers were assassinated in their own home by a ring wing nutcase who had a hit list of 40 other democratic law makers. What did the right do? They celebrated, made fun of it, and brushed it under the rug and blamed it on the left.

Just gonna leave this here.

https://nij.ojp.gov/topics/articles/what-nij-research-tells-us-about-domestic-terrorism

Since 1990, far-right extremists have carried out 227 ideologically motivated homicides, resulting in more than 520 deaths.

In contrast, far-left extremists were responsible for 42 such attacks, with 78 deaths.
