Some people just don't want to live in reality. You take evidence and put it in front of someone's eyes and it completely dismantles their argument but they're too proud and angry to ever change.

u/Mundane-Club-107 2d ago

This is all conservatives do. Most of them aren't even really conservative anymore, they're just dumb-fuck MAGA cultists.

47

u/Acrobatic-Visual-812 2d ago

When Trump took over the party, conservative principles were finally subordinated to pure loyalty. The last decade has been evidence of the corrosive effects of this shift in the conservative ideology. They can say a lot of criticisms of leftist and liberals but pretending that we are anywhere near as centered and top-down is ludicrous. The biggest issue with being progressive at the moment is how decentered and scatterbrained our positions are.

The conservatives are in the opposite problem, and are already in a micro-tyranny, and they want the rest of us to subject ourselves to the same dynamics.

Destiny isn't trying to find the truth - he's trying to win a debate which is why he will always fail.

You can convince people (yourself included) that 2+2=5, but it doesn't make you less wrong.

Destiny is wrong about pretty much everything - his relationships, his moral virtue (lack thereof), his health, what is true, what is good and worth pursuing, etc.

That's why he's so unhappy - he's too arrogant to acknowledge his own infinite ignorance.

On the curve of intelligence, there is a local minimum where you believe you have achieved some form of intellectual enlightenment. You wrongly believe that you are so smart that you can't go much further.

Just beyond that minimum is where you realize that humanity is infinitely ignorant - someone who sees this has achieved a higher level of intelligence, and people like Destiny fall short.

14

u/Acrobatic-Visual-812 2d ago

Lol this is the cringiest thing I have read in a while. Trust me, I am no Destiny fan. But here we go, another conservative who thinks I am tribal like they are, just because I can actually use my critical reasoning faculties.

4

u/MinneapolisJones12 2d ago

Destiny can rot in hell for all I care, he’s a pretty awful human being.

But to watch the clip above and post this is wild lmfao. XQC is the only one trying to tell anyone that 2+2=5 and threw a little bitch fit when he was proven wrong.

u/ama_singh 1d ago

Shit conservatives say...

64

u/ILoveZenkonnen 2d ago

They are anything and everything that can be deemed anti liberal. It’s not even about putting US citizens first anymore for them. So many of them are just full of shit but they’ve always been that way. Smile and laugh in your face but be incredibly racist, sexist, etc. behind closed doors with friends and family.

19

u/neveks 2d ago

America doesn't have popular conservatives, most of them are reactionary.

1

u/Serventdraco 2d ago

This is what conservatism has always been. The words are different but the goals are the same.

-64

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

The amount of times I've seen the exact behavior from people on the left. Don't pretend like you are any better than them.

40

u/J0rdian 2d ago

The right loves the both sides thing huh? You think any random idiot far leftist on twitter means it's the left in general? Kind of just proving Destiny's point about the right's rhetoric and inciting violence more then the left, but because you can point to random people on twitter who don't matter that means both sides are equal. When the rhetoric is coming from actual government officials elected on the right, and on the left it's nobodies.

The left is strictly better

-16

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

No, the right loves the "we are better than the other side" thing, just like you guys. I know you guys don't like to hear it, but you need to. You're just as much responsible for the way the country has turned out as them.

11

u/J0rdian 2d ago

Give examples? How could you ever come to that conclusion? I assume you are talking about the violence in the country or something. So please tell how you can come to that conclusion.

The right is way more divisive with violent rhetoric, look who is the President compared to what democrats elected fucking Biden lol. But it's more then the President there are other government officials as well. Or big media accounts.

So why in the world would you try to paint it as both sides? What can you possibly give as example to think both sides lol. The right even commits more terrorist acts and mass shootings. They are worse with rhetoric and actual violence that happens.

6

u/Alternative_Dot7769 2d ago

Because they’re stupid as fuck and don’t want to admit it to themselves. They think they’re smarter than everyone and have it all figured out.

8

u/Yourwaifusasuke 2d ago

The far left doesn't speak for the majority of libs while the far right are running the country ATM big fking difference

-9

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

I mean Kamala would have been pretty far left too, and she at least got as far as becoming the democratic nominee

11

u/TraditionalHousing65 2d ago

What the fuck are you on man. Kamala, far left? She was a milquetoast democrat, not even close to ‘far left.’

6

u/Alternative_Dot7769 2d ago

They’re stupid as fuck and have gone all in on the propaganda. Brain closed now

-6

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

About as far away from center as Trump, that's for sure.

7

u/TraditionalHousing65 2d ago

Just want to let you know the LDA has all the resources to get you the help you need.

7

u/Down_Badger_2253 2d ago

You know people like Hasan and the far left hate Kamala for being too centrist right ?

1

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

And you don't think people on the far right say the same about Trump?

4

u/Down_Badger_2253 2d ago

I mean Kamala would have been pretty far left

I'm responding to this sentence that you just wrote, did you forget already ? the far left hated Kamala.

Kamala was not "far left" she was a center left liberal in the continuation of Joe Biden, she was literally his VP

1

u/Godzoola 2d ago

Kamala far left??? Lmfao

1

u/PwAlreadyTaken 2d ago

Bot account? They gave a thoughtful reply and you decided to just repeat yourself.

50

u/HistoricalRoad1755 2d ago

You're so insane to believe both sides are equally bad lol

15

u/Not_Bears 2d ago

No no, they're stupid...

-49

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

I know you don't like it, but it's the reality. You guys are no better. From an outsider's perspective.

32

u/HistoricalRoad1755 2d ago

Thank god 99% of us non-Americans think the way I do.

-12

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

Based on personal experience from almost everyone I talked to, they all think both sides are equally crazy. You are lying.

22

u/swole-and-naked 2d ago

Nah dude, 90%+ of us in europe think you magas are absolutely brainwashed morons, even the european right.

15

u/KingKrimson235 2d ago

Lmao you're delusional if you think this. Polls done in European countries showed the wide majority would vote for Kamala

0

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

I would have voted for Kamala, that doesn't mean that they don't think both sides are equally crazy as a whole

13

u/KingKrimson235 2d ago

If both sides are equally crazy why would you have voted for her? Also, do you think that the majority of people in Europe share that opinion? Because I find it very hard to believe that upon being confronted with equally crazy parties they overwhelmingly voted for Kamala

11

u/Hot_Demand_6263 2d ago

Show that craziness in Policy on the left. What crazy downright inhumane policy has the left entertained?

8

u/HistoricalRoad1755 2d ago

Everyone in my country laughs at Trump and his loser cultists, and it's sad that you're here championing them.

32

u/1plus2break 2d ago

Last I checked, a mob of Leftists didn't storm the Capitol to try to delay the election of the President of the United States. "Both sides" are not the same.

9

u/invalidtruth 2d ago

We are absolutely better than them. They are trash traitors.

7

u/Sneaky_Doggo 2d ago

Yea you’re definitely one of them. Stupid is as stupid does…

17

u/J0rdian 2d ago

Alright from an outsider's perspective please compare the last President both parties elected. Surely you can fairly judge how both sides behave by the most important person in the entire government they elected.

Who do think is worse between those presidents? Come I want to see you actually attempt to argue it. Don't just run like XQC

-1

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

I think the democrats could have come up with a far better candidate than Biden, but that being said, he's still a lot more sensible than Trump. Are you surprised?

12

u/J0rdian 2d ago

So the left is better, cool. Not sure why you saying it's both sides when you agree the left is better. Are you just stupid or whats up?

-1

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

One single candidate means the entire side of the political spectrum is better? Think about what you're actually saying for a moment

11

u/J0rdian 2d ago

The entire side of the political spectrum decided this is the candidate they want to lead the most important country in the world. This is the most important government official in the world. And that side decided Trump is the correct choice for it.

It's not just 1 single candidate. It's not 1 random wacko from 1 random county or state. Its the leader of the entire fucking country that they all agreed on to elect over any other possible candidate. Twice btw, not even just once. It wasn't a random fluke.

So it's at the very least pretty fucking important to seeing how both sides act and who they want to represent them. I think you could agree it's at least relevant and important lol.

Also this is just 1 point. You wouldn't like it if we go in on other elected officials as well. Just admit it you have no idea what you are talking about with zero examples or argument to back your statements up. You are running on feels, it feels like the left is just as bad. Just admit that or show some fucking actual examples to back up your argument, you have given literally nothing nothing at all in all your replies.

1

u/ComparisonEither 2d ago

you ran like X. you couldn't admit you were wrong. this is what a majority of conservatives/maga cultists do.

10

u/enfrozt 2d ago

The amount of times I've seen the exact behavior from people on the left. Don't pretend like you are any better than them.

Give 1 single example.

3

u/Alternative_Dot7769 2d ago

Some grifter they listened to made them feel that way and now they’re all in

When? And who is "The Left?" A very specific comment was made about MAGA cultists.

-7

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

No, a very specific comment was made about conservatives as a whole.

17

u/mrev_art 2d ago

liberals are not leftists buddy

1

u/Ok_Cap_1848 2d ago

why do you keep dodging the point? the argument i'm making is very simple

14

u/mrev_art 2d ago

You made a claim that "the left" is the same as MAGA and did not elaborate.

7

u/Crozzbonez 2d ago

Show us a single time someone like that on the left made it into office or any position of power in our government.

10

u/Schmigolo 2d ago

I mean everybody does it, but conservatives do it a lot more. There's a reason why they say shit like "people who go to college are brainwashed", it's because they are clearly more fact averse.

3

u/AndanteZero 2d ago

Ok, then why don't you give us examples of prominent figures from the left doing the exact same thing the right is doing right now when Democratic senators were killed, or whenever a similar event occured?

1

u/ama_singh 1d ago

And yet evidence overwhelmingly points to one side.

38

u/Zealousideal-Yak-824 2d ago

I don't even know why he got mad at Barack Obama vs libs. Barack said it was bad, if he's saying why compare to libs than that's maybe a good point but if I remember correctly they made libs that famous in the first place. She literally gets senators to answer he call and gets a personal line to Trump so he's getting mad because he can't prove his point.

Why the fuck does any one listen to this guy is beyond me. All of his takes are bad in both gaming and politics.

26

u/TheOneWithThePorn12 2d ago

He got mad because he is a child and looked at the top left and compared it on both images. Instead of thinking Obama is here should i compare his words to Trump, he lashed out because he incapable of critical thought.

-3

u/ExaminationCool8511 2d ago

or he got mad because its a disingenuous piece created by someone who was trying to display what they wanted to be displayed, heres "bad" for the side i dont like, heres "good" for the side i do like, its dumb and any other take on it is pretending you can just craft something like that and it creates a reality where numbers dont actually matter and cherry picking does.

for someone who claims they don't like breaking news, this dude sure did shove his head straight into the sand with this "example".

3

u/TheOneWithThePorn12 2d ago

I said this to someone else. I assume it applies similarly to you.

Trump immediately attacked the left when we don't even know. Trump should be lower the temperature here but instead he is fanning the flames and all the large conservative influencers continue to stoke the flames. All these conservative influencers are involved with the trump government as well. What they say absolute matters over random dumb fucks on the left.

Meanwhile all the people in power for the democrats and the influencers all want everyone to calm down.

If you can't see the difference you are ideologically captured.

9

u/blexta 2d ago

One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.

Carl Sagan, The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark

u/Northern_candles 2d ago

Actually it is because of propaganda techniques perfected in Russia which got exported into the US and have completely taken over the right.

Fantastic documentary about this 10 years ago from Adam Curtis explains it all. The same thing that happened to Russia is happening here. 24/7 propaganda and misinformation creating an alternate reality he called Hypernormalisation.

1

u/Estake 2d ago

Haven't watched it (yet) but I feel like it'm going to get the same feeling as the Doegin video, the worst part being that a republican could watch it and think it's not him but the other side that's being talked about. In other words, it's irreversable.

1

u/Northern_candles 2d ago

Of course someone who has opinions not based on reasoning will not change them with any kind of reasoning.

I shared it for anyone who wants to learn about why we are where we are. I suggest watching it as it is not about a specific political party and examines the faults of both sides of the aisle. Adam Curtis also works for the BBC not any US company and does not pull his punches for them either.

I know this isn't the ideal place to post this kind of thing but I do in hopes that more people get educated on why our world is so fucked up especially lately.

1

u/Fearless-Feature-830 1d ago

That guy scares the hell out of me

2

u/Itazuragaki 2d ago

You can lead a horse to water, but the horse was told by "credible" sources that the water contains mind controlling microchips that turn you gay.

1

u/gottimw 2d ago

That is an average person, not some. And the exist on both sides of spectrum.

As a matter of fact, story telling is part of our brain that explains the world to you, and facts that upset narrative are disturbing internally to a lot of people.

Thats why he almost poped like a balloon unable to cope with cognitive dissonance .

1

u/unflashystriking 2d ago

Yup, exactly this. It´s the same with every major problem that humanity has to face but doesn´t want to. Climate change, Covid19, environmental pollution, endocrine disruptors, the list goes on. Confront people with studies and they will say shit like "Well i don´t believe this study.", "You know science can be wrong." "That´s just what X wants you to believe."
It´s all madness out there.

1

u/diapason-knells 1d ago

Like leftists with Kyle Rittenhouse?

-13

u/GodOne 2d ago

He showed hand picked tweets of politicians. Politicians. They have to say that and most of them probably didn’t even write it themselves, more like their PR team.

26

u/ThatTryHard 2d ago

If they have to say that why don't Republicans do that?

-2

u/ExaminationCool8511 2d ago

to be totally clear, this exact same thing could be displayed to demonstrate the exact opposite point with enough cherry picking.

why this qualifies as evidence to anyone is beyond me, it MIGHT be reflective of a point, but its just pretending to prove that point. its as garbage as it gets.

ill likely get hate in this thread, as i normally do when i state the totally fucking obvious, and it will remind me why i almost always dont engage with any of this shit. its groupthink garbage and cult like behavior from both sides.

think for yourselves. a high emotion event shouldn't mean you just dive headfirst into one sides points even when they are manipulative garbage like a list of 14 "GOOD" tweets vs 14 "BAD" tweets.

3

u/ThatTryHard 2d ago

Both are lists of politicians or people with power who's words carry sway.

0

u/ExaminationCool8511 2d ago

whats your point? ive made mine pretty clear.

if you have a sample size of 5k responses from either side, is it likely you can pick out 20 good, vs 20 bad to try to demonstrate that one side is worse? its manipulation, seeing it as anything otherwise is just wanting to cheerleader one side.

you CAN make this point most likely if you want to, but its by displaying the overall number comparison of the entire dataset, not 20 fucking cherrypicked good vs bad examples. thats vile and repulsive.

2

u/TheOneWithThePorn12 1d ago

i dont understand why you cant understand the prominence and influence of these accounts. Its frankly baffling. 5000 random accounts are meaningless and should you know this. There is a reason famous and large account are chosen for a comparison. My god.

2

u/TheOneWithThePorn12 2d ago

Some people just don't want to live in reality.

0

u/ExaminationCool8511 2d ago

me pointing out that the list is manipulation, is me not living in reality?

its straight up lazy, its literally the equivalent of a child opening a yearbook and drawing faces on people they don't like.

reflect on yourself and how you view media, you're being manipulated, and this clip and your willingness to defend it is more than enough evidence of that.

-15

u/Firecracker048 2d ago

Welcome to modern political discourse. You see it all the time, even from people here like Destiny, Hasan, Asmon, hell the late Charlie. You put the facts out there and they just blow it all away.

13

u/arkfille 2d ago

Fine I’ll bite, when has Destiny gotten facts presented to him even close to this clear cut and ”blown it away”?

-8

u/Forget_me_never 2d ago

You think this is clear cut because you are biased, in reality destiny made an obviously wrong argument and no one who is broadly neutral or unbiased would think screenshots of some cherry picked tweets proves his point.

10

u/Miniray 2d ago

in reality destiny made an obviously wrong argument

Weird how you didn't bother to explain how/why it's wrong, and instead just went to "Well it's OBVIOUS it's wrong, no unbiased person would think he's right!"

-2

u/Forget_me_never 2d ago

Destiny said "every person on the right is calling for war and vengeance". It's obviously wrong.
