I love this style of ambient music with these warm, warbly, nostalgic sounding synths, I am wondering if anyone knows any good VSTs that have good sounds like on these songs? Thanks!

Now that I purchased the full Izotope Ozone suite and have practiced on my on raw mixes I am looking for people willing to send me theirs. This I am hoping to expand my skills to tracks that are new to me and possibly new genres to.

Category Columns in Plugin Manager, that shows up in Plugin Search

I'd love to be able to categorise plugins in plugin manager. For example, if a reverb doesn't have "reverb" in the plugin name (e.g. 'Abbey Road Chambers'), it won't show up in plugin search. But if we had an extra column in plugin manager in which you could customise the "category" name of... now, when typing "reverb" in plugin search, you could see all of your reverbs, regardless of the actual plugin name.

You also get to try new plugs that you forgot you had, but aren't regular go-to's.

P.S. I know some companies like UAD get auto-assigned to Logic's stock 'category' folders, but we all have our own was of thinking what a plugin does. e.g. I use Pro-MB as a DeEsser, so I placed it in the DeEsser folder, but a manufacturer would never do that.

Using the pitch bend envelope is so ridiculous. Not only does it use standard MIDI controller data ranges in a 7 bit format.. it has an absurd amount of visual bugs and glitches

This is an archaic piece of software in today’s digital world.

My name is Caedmon, and i am just getting into using logic, after using Garageband my whole life, and I need someone to help with the song i'm working on. I am writing a "Future Funk" song (a sub genre of Vapor Wave), and as this is my first time using logic I need help with some of the basics! looking for someone who can call over discord. (Obv i wont post my discord, dm me) thank you for your time! (mods feel free to take this down if it violates a rule!)

back story: Alot. upgraded to 11.2.2. The problems were ample and serious enough for me to try and backpedal to an earlier version. I went back to 11.1.1 and immediately what I thought were problems before would have been a blessing after downgrading.

My library is on an external. Or it was. I called Apple support. we spoke for 3 hours. We did much troubleshooting ending with reinstalling 11.2.2. But now I have no Library and no matter what version, what user, what anything, when I go to file>. One option. And when I click it, I receive the error in title: Some assets in this project will be missing until the volume with the Sound Library is reattached.

I click ok. Nothing installs. Nothing happens. Luckily, I have alot of 3rd party samples or Id be shit out of luck for drums. And I have some decent plug ins for bass that are making do but there has to be something I can do besides give up?

I want/need to put the library on my external due to space issues. Does anyone have any suggestions/experienced anything similar?

Ironically, 11.2.2 seems to be working awesome now. yay...

I'm having trouble understanding the use of the scale option here... It doesn't seem to affect anything by clicking on any of the options. Is this for reference so the composer doesn't forget what's going on? Or does this actually change something? Very confused and I feel like this is a simple answer.

Please test to see if this works, and comment what newer version of Logic you're on!
Also, submit a bug report to Apple. The more people that do, the quicker it'll get fixed!

When we select something with the Marquee Tool, we can quickly extend or shorten our selection by using the left/right arrow keys and holding shift(⇧). Each click jumps to the next or previous transient. This is a really useful feature when comping, as you can make SUPER QUICK, clean cuts when ClipGaining, and/or highlight esses and plosives really quick.

UNFORTUNATELY this doesn't work for Lanes below the Main Track Lane, which means you can't use tab to transient for comp folders - when making a marquee selection on one of the comp lanes below, it just jumps to the end of the project.

Hi! I’m a beginner to Logic and music making generally. My Logic used to work perfectly fine with a shitty i rig I used to record my guitar. For months now, it will not pick up my guitar. Got a new interface and when I record mic and guitar it makes cracking noises and picks up very very slightest sounds, if I record it and play it back there’s no sound. On garageband, it records perfectly fine. Why is this happening??

Im new to everything that is DAW and MIDI, but recently purchased an Arturia essential key lab and can’t seem to control logic through it. I followed all the instruction including downloading transcripts etc, but when I record a track, I can’t listen back to it, and the only way I can record is by using logic instruments, so I’m not able to use the Analog pro that Arturia comes with. And none of the knobs and faders work with logic. Standalone and using Analog, it works perfect. I’m sure this is just to do with logic, and as I am new to it I feel like it’s definitely just a me issue… ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!

I'm rediscovering Alchemy and have considered using an Apple Magic Pad with the X-Y screens in Alchemy's patches. Does anyone do this and have any comment regarding that.-pros, cons? Thanks in advance. PS: I'm not using a MacBook. I'm using a Mac mini and Mac Studio.
