Travel / Tourism Do I need cash?
I will be visiting Luxembourg for the first time. Yoo hoo! I heard that Germany usually accepts cash only at shops which really stunned me in 2025. How about Luxembourg? I am not sure how much time I will spend in the city but I may go to local shops or something as a tourist. Can I just use a debit card? Another question: Pickpocketing for cash or mobile, how worrying is it when it comes to these kinds of crime?

You only need cash when you buy weed in Lulu Land. It might happen when you're buying something in a tiny private shop (like an old-school bakery) that accepts cards for purchases over 5 or 10 euros. I couldn't tell you where to find a business outside of Luxembourg City or the bigger "villages" that only accept cash. Except for tattoo artist, they do prefer cash.
