Activities Question for jims people?

Is here someone who used to go to the cycling classes before they changed the rules? Cycling is not considered to be a group class anymore but it belongs to the "Cube activities" so it is more expensive. People with the abonnement for the group classes can no more enjoy the indoor cycling.

If you were a member before the change you will have been grandfathered in (and not have to pay the supplement).

as an avid cyclist i find an aberration to cycle indoors mostly in summer. come join us every saturday morning at andy schleck cycles fora capuccino ride 9;00am croissants and coffee. 9;30 a ride.

cycle indoors only in heavy snowfall or to do very specific intervals targetting vo2max.

Used to join ASC rides. Groups (especially Cappuccino) got too big for the captains to safely manage, IMO.

capuccino is moderately small. but everyone wants to go in mac 1. I go there every weekend or almost and there are enough capitains. and the groups are managed ok.

the problem is mostly weekend warriors who ride once a week are out of fitness and go to the fast group because their strava stats will be harmed if they do less than x average or do not PR on that segment.
everybody knows that they should not half-wheel, ride 2 a breast. wait on the top of climbs and carry their own flat kit and have the route loaded in the gps. the captain are mostly there to lead and pull the group not to micromanage.

there are other social rides in luxembourg. and in the neighbour countries. amazon. wedcycle. etc or just go to the valley... the cr101 is a delight to ride fast.. 300m elevation in 50km

Hi, is this ASC ride still on even after the summer vacation is over? I just got back to riding after a few years of not riding and would be interested to join.

I estimate my FTP atm to be around 2.5 W/kg, is that not too slow even for the slowest group?

They do it all year round.. only days they don't do it is on the day of the schleck grand fondo or super bad weather. Even in December they ride. we are not really fair weather cyclist that hide in a pain cave after the good days are over.

The Capuccino groups are slow. and no-drop social rides. So I am sure you are good enough for them.
