His first shot was perfectly accurate, the later tracking and recoil control was also on point. He even observed her trajectory and aimed where she was walking into. He has no way to know she can read him perfectly and change direction on a dime. But he is smart enough to realize something is up, hold fire, think for a bit, then switch it up by firing randomly. If she couldn't magically tell where random shots would land, she'd try to dodge and get hit.

Discussion John Wick vs Chisato in H2H.

Anime characters are bonkers compared to live action inspirations. Chisato can punch a veteran assassin faster than he could defend, hard enough to quite literally send him flying. Meanwhile John Wick is more grounded and as a result never wins easily or quickly in melee. Even a singular unnamed enemy can occassionally give him a life or death struggle. He has no consistent answer to someone that is faster and exponentially stronger, who learned many of the same martial arts, and can read his movements.
