It’s been just over a week and I have spent some time with my family and friends, those closest to me who will be with me win or lose.
I embrace this loss with open arms, because believe me as much as I hate losing, it’s as much part of life as part of our game- and I believe it’s necessary in my pursuit of greatness. “Without the bitter, the sweet wouldn’t be as sweet.”
Make no mistake I’m not a good loser, because a good loser becomes a frequent one. I am however- an avid learner of the arts and of life itself.
This loss has exploded a desire in me that will have the consequence of an onslaught bigger than the original domination- my return to glory and pursuit of greatness will be unimaginable for the average minded.
I have absolutely no excuses for my performance, I was beaten by a better fighter on the night, congratulations to my opponent and thank you for the honour of sharing the octagon with you.
Thank you for all the love and support from fans all over the world, and my sponsors that has always and will in the future play a critical role in my success
AND SINCERELY thank you to all those who enjoyed to see me fall, because I will return the favour, like I always have.
I believe in the plan of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for He knows best and I can’t wait to see what He has planned for me going forward.
they always end things with the religious shout out. i genuinely am intrigued as to why the majority of fighters are not only religious but want everyone to know they are, is there a mandate somewhere telling them to say that? does the ufc give bonuses for that kind of thing? if theyre not giving bonuses for that, they should be, considering the direction the ufc has been heading and what kinds of fans theyre trying to cultivate and influence
People are religious at their own will, religions fulfills us, yes i think that religion generally is good, i know it can bad and go wrong easily but anything goes wrong with humans, politics, ideologies, sports, etc, but that doesn't mean those things are bad.
Me not believing in religion itself is usually viewed as offensive to them, yet if anything it’s some of their views that are innately disrespectful to me. Such as their views on what happens to people who commit suicide, non believers and those who are gay.
So whereas my belief is just that I.. don’t believe in anything. Their beliefs directly disrespect me. If I’m making any sense.

oh, you mean how they say things like “i thank the lord for blessing me with talents” and then follow up with snark like “it makes me superior to the secular heathens who are spiritually void”?
pronouncing on reddit how religion is bad, without any solicitation, sounds cool and rebellious when you’re 14 and your parents finally let you skip church for the first time.
Ahh yes, because religious societies are always a bastion of morality, totally never used to brainwash, kill, and subject others to “the will of god”. Things like the Crusades, Spanish Inquisition, and Sharia Law are obviously the products of great moral societies! We certainly don’t have a religion fueled genocide going on in the world right now.
Lmao bro relax being religious is something done since the start of time. It’s just a way to show gratitude to who you believe is the creator. Just how you show gracefullness towards the important ones in your life in a wedding speech, so do religious people when it comes to big moments of their life.
what about my comment made you think im not relaxed, im genuinely interested in figuring out if being religious makes you more likely to be a fighter.
does it give them bravery because of less fear of death, or do they believe they will be blessed/protected/assisted by a higher power so are more willing to go into dangerous situations?
Since the beginning of time you say? Its been posited that religion has been around since the invention of language. because as the first people were developing an internal monologue, they had to attribute it to an external entity, because verbal thoughts would just pop up out of nowhere, and they didnt know it was their own mind, since language was so new. "maybe i shouldnt steal steves food" would pop into their head and eventually those thoughts were thought to be from a higher power.
theres a whole internal spectrum from non monologuers > monologuers > schizophrenics. meeting a non monologuer is a trip, they are very common. world record speed readers are non monologuers, they read words instantly without the time lag of needing the word verbalised internally
Wait so anyone who writes a long time must be stressed? Is writing that difficult for you that if you see long writing you just assume someone isnt relaxed? Alrighty i guess i can understand your plight
Oh sorry, i thought it was supposed to be a tongue in cheek comment. But yeah i think its just showing gratefulness, wins or losses because the belief is its all part of a bigger plan and we’ve been blessed with even having the opportunity to fail.
I like to practice gratefulness as much as possible and i think its the same with these fighters
Stfu loser. Coping mechanism lol. Ask Khabib why he is a loser. Some of the atheist are biggest losers you would find. Give me drugs instead of religion to cope.
The problem is that you think it means he didn't have enough "strength" to win.
It's very common sense and knowledge that christians believe that God controls their destiny, and that it won't always go in your way, and that the "strength" is that they stay strong to their faith despite shortcomings in moments like that.
but i guess since i typed out the words captain crunch cereal you will think i am a hypocrite. because any words someone types mean they care about those things.
