When it comes down to it I wouldn't be surprised if it was made by somebody in texas. Because it ignores multiple factors like GDP per capita.

Someone is upset over California being the fourth largest economy in the world. So they're trying to make Texas relevant globally. But it's really not.

My point is when you factor in per capita numbers you see where the money is goong. Those numbers show if your state's money is ending up in the people's hands or the hands of the government / wealthy individuals.

In that regard Texas ranks 11th and 14th in the US. Not even in the top 50 in comparison to other nations globally.

So yeah Texas generates a lot of income. But a ton of it ends up in fewer hands at the top. Not nearly as much in the average person's pocket.
