Mafia: The Old Country Steam Version of Mafia the Old Country Crashing

It is actually really embarrassing how much this game crashes since launch. Mid-gameplay or cutscene -- it doesn't matter which it is, it will find a way to crash. I have a 5070, 9800x3d, and 32 gb ram. There is absolutely no reason why this game should be crashing. Something needs to be done. If I could get my money back, I would. I like the game, but its unplayable in its current state.

I have i5 13500 and rtx 3060ti PC. I am on chapter 13. Playing at 1440p medium with dlss at 60fps, no single crash till now. May be something is wrong with your setup.

I wish it was because that would be an easy fix, but it’s not. I’ve also tried a bunch of different combination of settings and still have the same issue unfortunately. Even the optimized settings that the game suggests based off your hardware (which is ultra btw ironically lol).

What’s more embarrassing is that you made this post when it’s more than likely your setup that’s the issue. I’ve just finished the game and haven’t had a single crash on a relatively similar setup to you.

What’s embarrassing is believing it’s my setup when I haven’t had an issue with any other games. Even more embarrassing is not realizing that others on pc (at least if purchased through steam) have also had the same issues if you read the reviews. Even more embarrassing is thinking you know better than others you don’t even know based off one Reddit post. And more embarrassing than that — you.

If you haven't tried, I would suggest trying the 577.00 drivers.

I was running on the latest 581.xx drivers for the BF6 beta, but I was having quite a bit of visual artefacting and crashes that I could reproduce. Since downgrading, the issue has been resolved.
