Rude staff in Flambé, formerly Franzinis, in Trim

I remember eating in Franzinis in Trim years ago and being surprised by how rude the manager/host was to us for seemingly no reason. The host was rude from the off and we were a low effort, laid back dining party. My elderly parents, 70+, went there again this evening, but it's now called Flambé because notions?, and they again said the host was rude.

I was looking through some recent reviews and saw this absolutely hilarious response from these clowns, I have no affiliation with the person who left this review or the restaurant itself, I just thought the response was hilarious.

For additional context, the reviewer doesn't actually have a problem with the price, just the service for the price.

It is a new owner who doesn’t seem to have a clue how to run a restaurant. They didn’t have their liquor license for months and have only found them difficult to deal with, especially regarding vouchers. Honestly i don’t know how they’re still open but can’t imagine it will be for much longer

Oh that's interesting. My parents said it was empty when they arrived but jammed when they left. I see some reviews saying it's not even one of the better places to eat in Trim, I'm curious what is a good alternative in Trim.

Med street food and Khan Spices are the top eats in Trim for me. The rest I find boring and not very pushed to improve. Stock house used to be great but nothing has changed in years. Flambé is dirt!

The selection in navan is decent these days with Luvida, Zucchini’s and of course The Valley Café.

Other than that it’s off to Dublin I’m afraid

As food trucks go, Once upon a Thai is fantastic. (They’ve won multiple national awards)

The castle arch hotel serves consistently good food and they change up their menu yearly.

Brogans do very well priced lunches, their wings are great!

I’ve yet to try B-House, Sally’s, Karl’s burgers, Kelly & Co, stonewall cafe, but I’ve heard good reports about all these and they’ve all opened in the past year or 2
