Are you going to be attempting to fix this yourself?

They might be able to use a spring compressor but they’d still need an alignment after.

If they can't name that obvious of a part then I would be concerned from a safety perspective with them actually attempting the fix.

That's a weird looking control arm. I've never seen one like that.

Jump?
I hope it was a jump.

Like the dukes of hazard, you always heard the crunch while landing and saw them drive off in one of the other general lees. 😂

Never seen a bottom arm break like that before! Surely if it's been hit hard enough to do that, there must be other components broken too?

Lower control arm, were you having some fun before that happened lol? That’s a straight crack through

There is no point of impact seen in this picture. I can see another crack on the back side. I'm guessing a drop... either off of Jack/jack stand or some dukes of hazard shit was going down

i sincerely need to know what op was doing before this cracked. it doesn’t look old or rusted, what in gods name other than driving off of a ramp did you do to this car?

Nice. That's a unique and quality automobile. Other than the lower control arm.

If you’re having trouble finding it you probably going to have trouble taking it off and putting a new one in

That’s not fair I’ve done plenty of YouTube fixes and replacements after learning what a part was because I could finally google the actual name. Nothing wrong with that

Do you know how badly you can hurt yourself messing with compressed bucket springs.

I'd guess they hit something in the road rather than a jump. Presumably something either rock or metal.

WoW! Cracked bit?? I’ve never seen a lower control arm cracked in half. I’m a retired LT1 Tech after 38 yrs. There’s a less cautious spring compressor you’ll need that is meant for rare dangerous issues such as this.

Why on earth would you make a high stress component like a control arm out of aluminium instead of steel?? This is just crap design.
