It's a thing. Why? Interrupting habitual action (i.e. doomscrolling). Even one minute of mindfulness is way better than a minute of that. You just need to get your foot in the door -start with a minute and notice how it helps, before you know it you'll try 10 minutes. Try it for a week and find out (check my links above).

It’s excellent .. it can be fitted into your day .. eg you can just do it at for desk or before you get off if the car . Doesn’t replace longer sessions but good as is

Maybe one minute can you give a pause from your fast rush of thoughts and emotions but to really feel the shift and help yourself get in a practice of the most- maybe giving it upto 5 mins is more helpful. That’s usually when the mind starts to settle and the nervous system can register the difference between scrolling and being present. You certainly do not have to jump into longer sessions, even 5 mindful minutes focusing on your breath, your senses, or a guided practice can give you enough window to reset your mood and bring your breath back into the present.
Over time, those short daily practices build real change.

Apps are just tools the real value is choosing a mindful pause instead of auto scrolling. That choice itself is mindfulness.

1 turns to 2, 2 turns to 4 and so on.
