[Discussion] I found it weird they never acknowledged how Monk was most human during this episode. The man was rolling on the dirt and stuff! I don't even remember seeing a single wipe in this episode.

What are you talking about, he wiped the kid’s hand and even gave him a wipe to keep in his pocket. One of the only episodes that made me cry, but there were wipes in that episode.

We didn't see it, but I'm assuming the diaper changes required a truckload of wipes.

Didn’t he call 911? Haha. I love Monk!

The 911 call is the single funniest scene in the entire show

For me this is a top 5 best episode in any comedy TV series that’s not a season finale.

Edit: I meant series finale, not season.

...did you mean series finale? Because this is indeed season 3's finale lol

Edit: typo.

Oop, you’re right. I meant series finale. Thanks!

Absolutely. I cried so much, made me feel more than I was prepared for, and to think about my own life/ future, whether or not I'll ever be capable of raising a child and feeling that kind of connection

"Nature is dirty" is something I say every time I'm invited to go away from my town

This is probably the best episode of the show.

I think it's the same situation when parents say they don't want a pet and raising one is a big burden then you bring home a dog and they fall for the cuteness and you cannot break them apart. The joy of having someone in your life will overcome all anxiety😊

" our " Man Leland says monk made a friend .the boy immediately calling him monk repeatedly 🥰.only part I never like is Natalie correcting monk by saying " he doesn't understand what you're saying" and she condescends to the little boy by talking like a baby for him .

He seemed like the best fit because he knew exactly what the kid needed

That's why he needed Trudy so much, love always reminds Adrian that he's going to be okay.

One of the best episodes, showing that beneath Monk’s often misanthropic exterior is a man still capable of love and connection — in this case, toward someone else’s child. His willingness to consider adoption, even after the "traumatic ordeal" of facing a full diaper on his own, makes the moment all the more touching.
