Yeah I have no problem with the halftime show, thought it was entertaining and visuals were awesome, but I agree that his music just isn’t the most enjoyable for me. He’s a little too word-y for casual listening, he’s got some good pop songs that be listened to casually but his best songs are the ones where he has a message and really puts more effort into the lyrics instead of just churning out a radio single. And that’s where Drake surpasses him, because the quick radio singles that Drake makes are his bread and butter. They’re perfect for vibing or just casual listening. I’m not gonna rain on Kendrick’s fan’s parade since he doesn’t really deserve any hate, but I think we both know that if Drake and Kendrick had a versus it would be lost by Kendrick rather quickly

I keep hearing about how meaningful and revolutionary the performance was, but could someone please articulate exactly what was meaningful about it?

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or if you're really just super nice but I would be totally interested in learning about this. I thought it was just him making fun of drake in the biggest possible way, but I've been led to believe that's a shallow and incorrect interpretation.

Thanks, that makes sense. What I'm getting is that it wasn't necessarily one big statement but more a bunch of small, symbolic or hidden messages. I am hearing a lot about people "getting it" or not but I guess maybe I misunderstood a lot of that.

What kind of music do you like? I bet I could find you a couple you would enjoy.
