Spotify will just start to generate AI bands so they won't have to pay royalties to anyone. I imagine that whomever creates these AI bands and submits them to spotify, will get the rights for creating the "art" that produced the music.

It is already well-documented that they fill their playlists with stock music being made by fake artists.

Is there a reason they shouldn't be obligated to tell if an artist is real or not? I feel like if I'm listening to an artist, I should be told if that person is real or not. I feel that Spotify would be lying to its paying customers and providing content that people would assume is being played by a real person. They're misleading people into thinking that every artist is real at this point, IMO.

They’re not in the business of connecting listeners with artists, they’re in the business of keeping users on their app.
