Whoever uploads the music still gets royalties right? The AI isn’t creating and uploading the music.

To be honest, we are pretty close to the point where we can't really disprove the existence of a sentient AI that does exactly that (among other things).

I am not sure. I know that Deezer recently took the decision not to pay royalties to AI generated content as it pollutes the space for musicians. Spotify didn't make any announcement as far as I am aware, but could be doing the same on the quiet side.

Kinda two-faced to say others shouldn't profit off AI, but then continue to profit off it themselves by not just fully removing them from the platform.
