I mean it's reddit, you do something helpful and the terminals will get to it first and down vote it, eventually normal people will see it and up vote it for being helpful. Assuming it isn't buried by then.

Yep – pretty sure that’s what happened. I don’t actually care that much about Internet points – I end up on my stocking myself and then get paranoid and delete my account and start from scratch. Just don’t like seeing important stories like this get buried. Yay humans.!
