But they aren't uploading on the equivalent of Mr. Beast's channel. This is the equivalent of your front page on Youtube having AI slop, which sometimes happens. Or when your Youtube shorts feed runs into AI slop, which happens constantly.

If it were just random AI slop from nobodies that would be one thing, but as you can tell from the headline, we're specifically talking about AI slop being published "from dead artists without permission".

As though it were their songs.

And when it has their name on it, it's like seeing a Mr Beast video on your front page, from his account, and it turns out to be AI bullshit.

But they only share a name--not an artist page. That is exactly like if YouTube let you post videos under an account you named Mr. Beast--which is what does happen. Obviously, it's meant to free boot off a real name when looked at under scrutiny. But YouTube doesn't scrutinize it unless you send in your complaints.

But people and bands share names in real life. IE, there are a dozen bands that call themself Afterglow with no relation or intention between them. There's two dozen or so Aria. There are at least 5 John Williams.
