Tax stamp changes Megathread 🔥 Was anyone else looking forward to January just to see this?
This isnt a political post about which party is pushing for one thing or another. Just guaging the communities thoughts on whats going to happen.
I was really excited for January so I can pick up a few cans and sbr a bunch of lowers. Then today, I come across a lot of media regarding a push to adjust the tax stamp for inflation.
What are the odds of this actually happening?

🎥 Silencer Video with Sound 🤫 Yesterday Was New Can Day; This Is Why
Glorious, a true revelation. The AlleyCat 5.56 718 on the mk18 is an epiphany. As if the clouds parted and heaven shown down upon Man.
I’d previously tuned the mk18 as much as I could with AGB, SureFire OBC, Kynshot 5000 hydraulic buffer, Tubbs lightweight flat wire spring.
But still, the conventional Turbo K made the experience pretty unpleasant. The can was steel, so it could hold up to the fire rate; but it wasn’t fun.
The mk18 is a baby now, a literal baby!!! What had been an ‘oh my god I kinda hate this’ experience has become ‘thank you god, for this!!!’
AlleyCat is absolutely no joke, though she is a heavy chonk. But I guess we lift the weights so we can lift our rifles🤷🏼♂️
And of course the mp5k remains a pleasure dream to shoot. I even let the other 2 guys at the range empty a magazine each with the mp5k. One said ‘this was an absolute dream come true of mine!’
What a wonderful time to be alive!!!

Original Content Good day today.
Had a great day shooting today with a buddy I haven’t seen in years.
This Polo K will not die. Put 5 mags through it on the MK18, one after the other and it just keeps chugging. https://imgur.com/a/yapSU8u

Product Question 🧰 White Chalk/Gunk In New Suppressor
1st time suppressor buyer, maybe this is normal idk. Suppressor approved today, opened new box & discovered lots of white chalky powder and gunk in both the suppressor and the included piston/booster assembly. What is this and what should I do?

Movie quiet!
Went out to shoot steel this morning. The Ruger .300 BO bolt gun and Polo 30 is movie quiet when shooting subs.
I can't wait till next year to SBR that rifle!

Very interesting adjustable straight tube gas block
Straight gas tube and external controls to avoid carbon seize. I'm assuming the detent ball is behind the set screw.

Suppressors
Watched a recent juicy media podcast evaluating 23 cans. Of the top five cans sounds suppression, gas mitigation and flash reduction. They rated the Ridgeback rhino S and the rhino X has number one and number two with DSG 556 as number three. it sounded better or at least equal to the Dillon 556 at half the price Anyone with any experience shooting the Rhino S or X? I wonder how it stacks up against the Exigent Vanish which got excellent reviews and also sounded better than the Dillon on the recent silencer syndicate podcast.

Silencer Suggestions - I did some homework Dead Air Lazarus 6 vs SiCo Velos 556 promotions
I am in need of a dedicated 556 suppressor. Scheels carries both of these brands and is running a free tax stamp promotion, which I would assume stacks with the manufacturer credits on both brands (SiCo is giving $200 store credit, and Dead Air is $300 store credit)
I have zero other suppressors with either the Xeno/Keymo or Charlie ASR mounting systems so either is fine.
I believe both of these suppressors are similar in form, weight, and durability. I am not sure about sound suppression and flash suppression.
I feel that SiCo has a better reputation than Dead Air currently, but Dead Air has a bigger credit.

Process Question 📝 Just had the trust notarized, now what.
Still a little fuzzy on what all I need to get squared away before purchasing my first silencer or registering an sbr.
I made an account on the atf eforms page. It sounds like I need to scan the trust docs, take a selfie for the picture submission portion, and then the eft for fingerprints.
So anytime I want to either buy a silencer, or register a sbr/sbs, I need to also fill out, sign, and date a rpq? Since my wife is on the trust as a trustee, she would also have to provide the rpq each time as well, in addition to her eft and photo, correct? I put her on the trust so she can have access to devices if I'm not around, but she won't be interested in doing all the administrative work each time I file.
Is going through the NGT website for the eft of the fingerprints the easiest way to get the eft file? What am I missing or misunderstanding before I start the fun?

Military member setting up a trust
Hey I'm seeking advice on how to navigate setting up a trust and purchasing NFA items while being AD military.
Im currently active duty in the reserves in IN but am a resident of KY. I will be living in IN for a minimum of 3yrs unless I extend my orders.
I was looking at using silencershop to set up a trust is there a better way to get this started and anything I should know?

Product Question 🧰 Rearden payment
Is there an issue with Rearden’s website? I tried to order a few things last night and tried again this morning with 2 different cards and it said there was a problem with payment
