Discussion Gotta give yall props…. New updates seem solid

When I first got my Nanoleaf products a year ago it was frustrating. Lines would start flickering. Services wouldn’t pair. But over the past few updates the products are working flawlessly. I’m so happy with all of it. So thanks team for updating this stuff!

I only have A19 bulbs from them. Thread and Matter versions.

I ended up with their WiFi bulbs on accident because I didn’t know that’s what they swapped it with on Amazon. I thought I was buying the same bulbs.

These bulbs have been nothing but a problem. It wouldn’t update or it would keep telling me to update them. Eventually they fixed themselves and updated. Not sure how. But now I get a notification to import devices constantly and sometimes when I click that it’ll have me try and redo the setup for the WiFi bulbs. Probably the most annoying experience.

I have 6 of their essentials bulbs (non matter). They’re unreliable trash. Can’t set temperatures on them reliably. Can’t go to full brightness. Weird coloured hue. Sometimes they reset properly and pair, sometimes they don’t. I thought it was a faulty bulb but they all do the same thing. Maybe it’s my Apple TV hub - but I don’t care - only nanoleaf has issues.

Then I tried to use Home Assistant with them and that was even worse (pairing to HA).

Meross has worked well in contrast.

Thanks for coming to my TED whinge.
