Discussion After years of money and support how is this a solution? 40$?
My Shapes Controller died and after contacting support the only “help” I receive Is an invoice for $40. I could have added it to my cart myself.
I don’t know if i can keep supporting Nanoleaf. I have spent hundreds on this company. I have gone through 2 starter kits over the past 5 years, including the original triangles which very quickly were discontinued and the Nanoleaf shapes which were a part of a batch of orders that have known problems with the controllers. I have spent so much on Nanoleaf branded adhesive pads and been so loyal even buying multiple expansions and lightbulbs for my Nanoleaf family. I don’t even know why I do, because over the years the connectivity for them has only gotten worse. I can’t even use my shapes with designs from other people on the internet as my wifi is shared with the apartment complex. I have only been able to use about 75% of its functionality and yet still like an abusive relationship i have poured years of time and money into this company.
So, why is this is the solution? My nanoleaf shapes controller is unresponsive and my shapes are unresponsive at a dim setting. It’s well over $500 of paperweights sitting mounted to my wall. And the support that i get? For a well known and well documented issue (for the past 4 years mind you) of these controllers going bad is an invoice for $40? No discount, No free shipping, not even a replacement at all? Just “hey! Spend more money!”
I just don’t think i can do it anymore. I have loved this company. The innovation has always been astounding. But it’s like they create products they know are half baked and forget about them to move on to the next thing. I can’t keep moving on.
