Can anyone speak to the relative quality of Spier & Mackay’s Oxford cloths? I want to order a custom ocbd and am considering their 20 ply 80s (purple label) and 40s singles (black label). Ideally want a thick, soft Oxford cloth. Thanks!

They’re great, but if you’re in between sleeve sizes I would size up. I have a white oxford and after a wash the sleeves shrunk a little bit. Not too bad, but maybe slightly more than a half size. Collar roll is really nice. Bad picture but you get the idea.

I’m a fan and have made a few converts in my family - the purple label is heavier but the difference in terms of softness isn’t massive in my experience.

I like both. Italian button down is my favourite of the ocbd options.
