Help/सहयोग i just beat my father and i feel like i want to die.

I'm a 17f and my father just came home drunk he was shouting nonsense at 1 in the morning or night. He was shouting things which are so embarrassing my sister my mother my brother my dog and me , we all woke up but we kept my brother inside because he's small while we tried to get him to shut up. Things got out of hand and me and my father had an argument about me and my needs like me asking for a new phone or my training fees , he is a very great father to acknowledge me needs and my likings but when he gets drunk he becomes a demon so we had a fight and he said 'hanum talai' I said hannu nata and he did and I did too my didi and my mom tried to stop us while crying then my father began hitting my mom which is why I punched him. Then he smiles scarily he's in a smile movie which makes me disgusted. He says while smiling 'maile Tero training KO fees malai Hanna lai tireko feri hanera Dekha' and much worse.

As I'm writing this he's still shouting for every neighbour to hear.we are embarrassed to out cores .

Idk what to do my dog is scared my mom my sister and my brother we all feel like shit.

I love my father but he becomes devil when he drinks too much.

Thank you everyone for helping me understand my situation! I appreciate each and every one of you for reaching out to me and consoling me. I hope the best for everyone going through similar situation!

Help/सहयोग Scammed & Robbed by InDrive Drivers – A Warning to Tourists in Nepal

Yesterday, my two Japanese friends — both young women — had a terrifying experience while using InDrive in Nepal, and I feel compelled to share it as a warning to others.

They both booked bike rides through the app. For one of them, the trip went smoothly. The driver accepted the agreed fare, and that was that.

But the second trip? A nightmare.

The driver suddenly demanded more money than what was shown in the app. When my friend refused — confused and firm — the situation escalated fast. He snatched her purse and sped off on his bike before she could react. Just like that — gone.

Shaken, they decided to head back via a taxi instead. You’d think the worst was over. But no — again, the taxi driver demanded more money than shown in the app. It felt like they were being targeted.

As a Nepali, this is infuriating. This isn’t just a scam — it’s theft, and it deeply damages the image of our country. Nepal is known for its hospitality, not this kind of lawlessness. If tourists can’t feel safe using ride services, then what are we even offering?

I want to attch photos of the two drivers involved but I couldn't attach here. Please be cautious if you’re using InDrive in Nepal. And to anyone with connections in law enforcement or InDrive — this needs serious attention.

Let’s not let a few criminals ruin our country’s name.

Updated : For the friend who was charged high. I had a chat with the support of Indrive and they told me that they will suspend the driver for now and will ask the driver to refund to my eSewa. Now I will be talking about the robbery case tomorrow as I will be meeting her tomorrow.

Help/सहयोग I’ve been asked to name a baby and I need ideas

My cousin recently gave birth to a baby boy, and she’s asked me to give him a name. She’s Magar, so a meaningful name in her language would be lovely but I’m open to any rare or beautiful names from other languages too.

Ideally something sacred, poetic, and not very common these days. I’d love your help! 🥹

Help/सहयोग My nepali is getting worse

As the text says my nepali is slowly getting worse. Right now I am just a teenager(15) and I slowly realizing my nepali is because poorer and I have a harder time communicating with my parents. I can barely read the language and the main thing I am struggling with in terms of speaking is the Grammer(big issue for me) and struggling with finding the proper words in the proper context.

Do you guys have any advice on how to improve or have any resources to help me. I am young so I think it would be easier for me to relearn the language quickly.

About 4 years ago, my father lent 20–22 lakhs to an aafanta. Not a single rupee returned till today. His business is damadol, he’s drowning in loans from others too.

No kagazpatra, nothing legal, sabai oral agreement. My dad is too humble, can’t say no to people.Aafanta KO the only way they can repay is by selling their house, but aile ko market ma ghata ma matrai bikcha, so bikeko chaina. Interest jodera total amount 30+ lakhs bhaisakyo lina lai. I’ve stopped telling my dad to follow up, aafnai bau sanga badhi bole jasto hunchha, sano jhagada matrai hunchha.

Whenever we need to invest or buy something substantial, afnai paisa aafu sanga hudaina.

What do you guys think, is this aafanta straight up duping us or is this just bad luck? Aba KO sahi, buddhimatapurbak chaal k hola. Dhanyabad.

Help/सहयोग Does anyone know anything about my birth mother?

Namaste

I was born 2001 31 of August in PAROPAKAR SHREE PANCH INDRA RAJYA LAXMIDEVI MATERNITY HOSPITAL . My birth mother left the day after I was born. I was born in Kathmandu if anyone know anything or anyone. I’m a woman and was adopted to Denmark afterwards. I’ve never before been curios of the woman and if I have family. But I’m older now and more curios. Also my biggest dream is to visit Nepal one day. ❤️

Edit:

I’m well aware and my adoptive parents are my parents and I love them to death. Honestly I’m just more curious about Nepal and where I’m from. Thank you to everyone. I appreciate everything and everyone who took their time to write. ❤️

Love to you all.

Help/सहयोग I am a Nepali guy (26) who is secretly gay and married to a woman.

Serious suggestions only please. I am so fed up. Malai thaha thiyo that i am gay since i was a teenager, but i kept it to myself. I would watch videos of guys and enjoy myself, but no one knew. I never acted on my urges and didnt come out as gay to my family. One day when i was around 23, my brother found some videos on my laptop and told my parents. They got me married to a girl (arranged marriage) and we have been married for 3 years now. I feel so guilty. Because i am not even attracted to her, even though i love her, but as a friend. She is my best friend, but not my lover. I feel like i ruined my life, my wife’s life as well by marrying her. Please, please, please let me know the next course of action. My wife does not know i am gay, she just thinks i am never in the mood, and my attraction for makeup and skin care is just self care. My parents said that if i tell my wife, she will tell her family and then she will leave, and my family reputation will be gone. My parents also say they can make court case against us, for marrying her even though i am gay and my family knew. I trust the judgement of my bros and sis of reddit to always give the best advice.

Help/सहयोग New online sneaker shop launched

Post image
37 Upvotes

Hey guys so just as the topic says haina

I recently started ShoeCartel, an online sneaker shop where I’m currently taking preorders for some standout pairs—mostly imports from China to Nepal. I’m also working on getting regular stock in soon, so it won’t just be preorders for long.

I’m still building things up, so I’d really appreciate any feedback—whether it’s on the types of shoes you'd like to see, pricing tips, or ways to improve the page. Just trying to grow something solid with real sneaker lovers.

If you're into sneakers, check it out and drop a follow—your support genuinely helps!

Help/सहयोग Help! In desperate need of money to cover the cancer expenses of my dad. Our land is at sale below the market price!

We have some land at chhampi lalitpur some kilometres away from tikabhairab temple. It has some flat area and some slopes (41 aana in total). Flat area is somewhat more than 1 ropani. Our dad planned for some agricultural products to be grown there. But life struck us so bad. He was diagnosed with tongue cancer last year. Chemo radiation and all has been done but the health is still deteriorating. The medical expenses are very hard to manage. We want to sell that piece of land below the market rate because of our emergency. The land is touched by raj kulo. It could be used for agriculture or any other future projects as per your needs. Please if anyone is interested or knows any other ways so that our finances issues are solved, please dm me. I assure you of the commissions. This is the desperate plea. Thank you all.

Edit: there unfortunately is no road on the field but only on map. And rajkulo touches the land! Thats the only medium of road

Help/सहयोग Silent only protects the abuser. Should I just post it in my Social Media?

From November 2024 to April 2025, I was repeatedly manipulated, threatened, and forced to give money to someone I trusted. This was not about “willingly lending money” it was emotional blackmail and financial abuse.

Here are few incidents:

November 2024 – First Time
Usle malai phone garera accident bhako bhanera bike repair garna paisa chahiyo vanyo. Emergency create garera malai NPR 5,000 pathauna pressurize garyo. Fine maile diye

January 2025 – Birthday Treat
Birthday ko din, usle malai cafe ma usko friend ko agadi forcibly ghisarera liquor shop tira lagyo ra alcohol kinera afno friend harulai party dinu parcha aja paisa xaina paxi dinxu bhanera paisa tirna lagayo. Yo voluntary thiena, clearly ma forced thiyo.

eti samma Total ma usle karib NPR 11,000 liyo, sano sano 100–200 ta count pani gareko chaina. Jati patak reminder diye, usle “next week dinchu” bhanthe. Tara dinu ta kadapi dinena.

April 2025 – Threats at 11 PM
Usle malai NPR 10,000 patha bhanera demand garyo, Pokhara jaanu cha bhanera. Maile uslai “timi le paisa farkauchu bhaneko thiyau” bhandai resist gare. Tara usle phone garera, message garera dhamki din thalyo — “Paisa pathaenna bhane ma rati 11 baje timro ghar aauney chu.” The thought of him appearing at my home at night was intimidating and dangerous. Out of fear of harassment, I felt pressured to comply.

Many people might think it was stupid of me. Yo paisa ko kura matrai hoina — yo chai manipulation, dhamki, ra abuse ko kura ho.

Lonely most of the time and not very outgoing (have social anxiety). Even if I make friend no one. matches my vibe. Why is it so hard to make friends I'm not even rude.

Help/सहयोग Regretful Career Choices, Visa Rejections, and a Desire to Restart in IT

Hi everyone,

I'm a 25-year-old male from Nepal, currently working as an operations executive. I wanted to share my story and seek some genuine advice, as I’m feeling quite lost about my future.

Back in 2019, I lost my mom. Her passing deeply affected me, and though I originally wanted to pursue a Bachelor’s in IT, I couldn’t bring myself to study at the time. My father encouraged me to at least join a degree and maybe switch later, so I chose social work. Then COVID hit in 2020, and by 2021, I had completed my bachelor's.

During my studies, I worked in a company and eventually got promoted to a supervisor role. But in 2024, I decided to leave that job because it was mentally draining. I joined a new company as an operations executive, thinking it would be easier for me to apply international studies—but now I regret that move deeply. It feels like a major step backward in my career.

Unfortunately, my student visa applications to both the USA and Australia were rejected. I feel like I’ve hit a dead end. I don’t want to continue working in the same kind of jobs here in Nepal. I’ve been self-learning Python and still have a strong desire to shift into the IT field. I even considered studying in India, but just found out that I’d still need a student visa.

At this point, it honestly feels like nothing is working out. I feel stuck in life professionally and personally.
