how to set up account on existing device

I recently moved into a home where the previous owners installed a nest. It seems to still be paired to their account.

Anyway to get the device switched to a new account?

It needs to be deleted from the account before being added to a new account. Call the realtor to get ahold of the previous owner. It's like a few seconds to do.

You can reset the Nest device from the "puck", no need to contact the realtor or previous owner.
