[DISCUSSION] Animal Kingdom Spoiler
Just discovered this show about 3 weeks ago and I've been binge-watching it nonstop!! I'm now at the end of S5. Such a great show! Every character is so well-acted. I ended up really hating Smurf and wasn't sad at all at her exit!I also thought the Nicky character was completely unnecessary, but I guess they needed her to get to the father's storyline. I just love Pope. He was so cringey in the beginning and now I just want to give him a big hug. Shawn Hatosy is an incredible actor! Thoughts? Like the show?Who is your favorite character?

Love the show! Discovered it in 2020 & it definitely helped get me through the pandemic. Not sure if I have a favorite character, maybe Deran but they all have their moments. I still need to see the film it was based on.

I thought the score was a Nine Inch Nails rip off until I saw it was done by Atticus Ross. Then when they played The Background World by NIN in one of the later seasons and Smurf walked out it was awesome!

Same! Started 3 weeks ago and have been binge watching it since. I'm in the middle of season 5. Pope is probably my favorite. I just want to hug him 🥲 Love Darin and Craig, J is starting to act like Smurf 😕 I keep trying to get my husband to watch so I can have someone to talk about it with!!

Don't know if it's related but the Australian movie Animal Kingdom is fantastic.

Such a gripping, heartbreaking ride! I went through phases of loving different characters depending on what was happening in their arcs lol but Pope and Craig were my top 2 for the most part
I just wanted Craig to get his sh*t together so badly! And for Pope to just be at peace with himself and find love…
I think I sat for a full 2 minutes after the finale— trying to digest the fact that it was over..
Btw If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend “Kingdom” starring Frank Grillo, Jonathan Tucker and Nick Jonas - gives all of the feels —another heartbreaker family drama (don’t know where you can watch that now though)
