[REQUEST] for some epic, and heart warming docs please! With mum for couple of weeks so far weve watched the deepest breath, my octopus teacher (her absolute favourite) and just now, tell me who I am (which was really sad obviously) so kinda just want something as heart warming as my octopus teacher, I'm out of ideas and really upset the alpinist isn't available here in France! Thanks for any recommendations 🙏 documentaries rather than movies if possible!

I watched parts of the show with my wife who was the one primarily watching it.

The show really hit hard how predatory these producers are. You have men and women (not just Korean, also western) making decisions on who joins these K-pop groups based on the sex appeal of minors.

I feel as though the entire show was mask off as to how the producers treat kids.

There are a few other things I wanted to highlight: * Producers choosing terrible takes to manipulate who got into the finals. And saying how they’d discount the audience vote so they can get the contestants they want if they could get away with it. * Turning a documentary about KPop school into an elimination survival reality show (that the contestants didn’t sign up for) to increase the popularity of the show. (One of the producers said in the show “We did this to increase hype”.) At least one contestant left because of this change, but several others went through emotional trauma. * One of the contestants got an injury after dancing too hard (Doctor said to rest to avoid further injury, but due to the nature of the show she had to perform or risk elimination). Producers knew about this and decided a 17 year old’s decision to risk her heath was fine. * The lower income contestants seemed to go through a lot of psychological torment. One of the eliminated contestants discussed how she was going to have to couch surf as she was now homeless without any savings. * One of the producers is standing in front of a child labor law poster. The contestants at the same time discuss the grueling schedule to train, learn choreography, and shit the videos. It feels like there might have been labor laws disregarded, but it’s just a feeling.

I am not sure if I’m missing more context. But even if there is I recommend watching it if you don’t believe me.

I'm looking for a horror movie that is not about people killing each other. I don't like the serial killer stuff. I do like the paranormal stuff. Ghosts, witches, magical beings, the Devil etc. I have seen all the latest movies, and the most popular ones like paranormal activity, conjuring, annabelle etc.

I finally sat down to watch Grave of the Fireflies on Netflix, and honestly, I wasn’t prepared for the emotional punch this movie delivered. I had heard it was sad, but nothing could’ve prepared me for this. It is a beautiful made film, but honestly I don't think I could ever rewatch it. I'm still crying. Did anyone else feel emotionally wrecked after watching this movie? I need to know I'm not the only one 😮‍💨

What an incredible underrated and hidden gem on Netflix. For me, an example of great show, poor broadcaster match. This show would have slayed on HBO (always thought it was of the same universe as Girls and High Maintenance – just Chicago-set).

I’ve been learning German and wanted to watch TV shows with both German audio and German subtitles, but that combination is surprisingly rare on Netflix. Even shows from other countries usually don’t offer both. And even actual German shows like How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast) don’t have German subtitles, despite offering many other subtitle options. Maybe I just couldn’t find it. Can you recommend me shows with both German audio and subtitles??

Just something to watch since its been sk long since ive seen a movie I haven’t seen before, it can be drama, maybe action, even comedy I guess. Best case would be a movie with the vibes of the nice guys or something like that, but anything good is enough

Shows like Severance ,Maniac,Mindhunter, The Sinner, You and Yellowjackets. Movies like limitless, Looper,Elysium, Inception, The matrix , Fight Club, Oblivion , Tomorrowland ..

Crime and mystery or sci fi thrillers dealing with psychopaths / exciting characters are also something I crave.

Hi, I’ve watched Voltron: legendary defender quite a few times and I’ve liked it a lot, and I’m looking for a show similar to it just to kill time and enjoy, something epic, weapon of great power, show working towards a goal for the whole season(s) the whole 9 yards, some of the other shows I’ve watched AND LIKED are; All the tales of Arcadia, avatar the last airbender, ninjago (specifically the secrets of forbidden spinjitsu(I really liked the desperation when they were in the never-realm)), Dexter(not the later seasons but season 2 was a fav) suits (same as Dexter) the rookie, Ironman: armored adventures, Ben 10, lost in space, pantheon, inside job, httyd: race to the edge, Brooklyn 99, love-death-robots and young justice, any shows similar would be greatly appreciated, I know a lot of these are kids shows but hey can you blame me? I was watching squid game 1-3. It was suspenseful, action packed and it held my attention! It made an hour long brisk walk feel like ten minutes and i looked forward to my daily walk. So I’m looking for a series with the same qualities and preferably hour long episodes with lots of seasons. It can be any type/genre of show as long as it draws you in in the same way!
