Dave Matthews band has an encouraging message for D.C. Who is under assault. Connect with neighbors and stand together.

Your tour bus shit on Chicago. People were assaulted by the DMB! Never forget!

I can vividly picture South Park taking this exact speech and body language and having him just get, like, sniped by ICE or something after it. Some dark, dark South Park-esque humor right there. He finishes this amazing speech and then you hear the bang and it cuts to Kristi Noem in the chopper next to an ICE sniper and saying "we got him" into the walkie-talkie.
It honestly writes itself.

Lmao and then Randy would be in the crowd like "Oh my god they killed Dave Matthews!" and Stan would just be standing there like "...Dad who the hell is Dave Matthews"

What are the people attending a concert actually going to do? Are they going to risk their job and family stability and comfort to rebel and rise up against the “system” that build the venue where they are partying with a band from the 90s?

Dave Matthews is Sofa King annoying. He opened for the Grateful Dead one year in LV. He just spoke gibberish the whole show cuz he figured we were all high. Nobody understood him the whole weekend. That and he cannot sing without whining.

Chicago will never forgive you, Dave...

You know he wasn't involved right? None of the band was on the bus when it happened. They condemned the bus driver for the action.

This dude is higher than I kite

u/BibendumsBitch 1d ago
Is he? I just thought he was a little bit nervous because public speaking and performing an art you’ve mastered is completely different.
-11
u/batmanineurope 1d ago
I can't imagine he's a nervous after decades of performing live. Plus he's known to be a super pot head.

u/BibendumsBitch 1d ago
Maybe nervous on speaking out publicly about something like that, idk, but you’d think he’d be a master of being high and talking too 😂

Not even close to MAGA. Heck I stumped for Bernie back in 2016. Trump is a POS and the entire GOP is complicit.
I hate Dave for his role is shutting down bootlegs back in the day. Real scumbag move, since he used them to help catapult himself to fame.
Downvote me all you want, but seriously fuck Trump.
Just search any of my other posts and tell me again I support MAGA.

They helped shutdown for-profit bootlegging. They’ve always supported taping and free trading. What am I missing here?

u/Emotional_Perv 1d ago
They grew their fan base greatly from bootlegs that mom and pop stores used to sell back in the early days of Phish and DMB.
DMB and their label threatened all these mom and pops with $25,000 fines and pulling all the releases from the label if they continued.
Effectively using the platform and then slamming the door behind them for all other smaller jam artists.
It was a dick move.

u/HaughtyM 1d ago
I’ll agree to disagree on this one. Trading and taping should always be free. And not for-profit by stores — whether mom or pop or not.

u/Emotional_Perv 1d ago
Totally understand that, no problems there at all.
I just don’t have respect for players who use a system to their advantage, then are actively siding with corporate labels to keep other players from using it and making it too. It’s just bad form.

Terrible stuff? Like a school shooting being thwarted? Like violent crime down 87%? How delusional.
12
u/jlaine 1d ago
Ok 🤡.
And the ATF busting that student had jack to do with the national guard or ICE, good try though.
Oh, and your 87% isn't the violent crime stat, but you knew that already - didn't ya?
-13
u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
The ATF is a federal agency, so yeah, Trump’s DC crime force was involved. Specifically, carjacking (one form of violent crime) is down 87% since Trump’s crime crack down began, so you don’t know what you are talking about.

u/jlaine 1d ago
🤡 quotes the nypost, tries to give the idiot-in-chief credit for what the ATF was already capable of and responding to, reframes their violent crime statement to try and fit their narrative after being called out for cherrypicking.
Toodles.

u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
So the DC mayor that just quotes the same stata is wrong? Is she also wrong to praise the lowering of crime in her city? Should she, like you, wish for a return to children being murderered and people being assaulted?
6
u/jlaine 1d ago
A drop from 31 - 4 is commendable, but you're still cherrypicking. Perhaps it also has something to do with the ~20% drop in people partaking in evening activities such as going to restaurants?
Oh, and yes I absolutely yearn for the anarchy. Ok no, actually it's just the fact I can't stand the narrative that the ends justify the means.

u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
So no one went to restaurants before the crack down? And if your child was one of the ones saved from being shot in a driveby because of the crime force, would you be so pick has to who saved them?
6
u/jlaine 1d ago
Did you not pay attention to the drop happened when the crack down took place?
If you were that concerned about the children, DC definitely was NOT the first city that needed your 'cure.' In fact, start in Johnson's back yard. Oh, but that doesn't fit your narrative, does it?

u/Important_Piglet7363 1d ago
Maybe Minneapolis needs the NG. Apparently Walz told the Catholic School that just got shot up that their request for funds to beef up security after threats was denied.
5
u/jlaine 1d ago
Or, perhaps if your president wasn't such a piece of garbage - he'd stop pulling funding that was earmarked for improving response and preventing these situations.

Absolutely nobody is surprised that crime is down after the military has been deployed.
You'd have to be comically smooth brained to think that it's worth it. Why not deploy the military everywhere?
More importantly, why aren't they deploying the military to red cities with insanely high murder rates?!
7
u/chitthappens- 1d ago
Wtf do you get any stats from? Faux?

u/chitthappens- 1d ago
NY post? OK enough said 😂
1
u/Knot-Lye-Ing 1d ago
The problem is they're acting like deploying the military wouldn't result in a reduction in street crime.
If that's the case then why not deploy them in red cities and red states with insanely high murder rates?
Why isn't the NG being deployed in Florida? Louisiana? Missouri?
This isn't even cherry picking information, it's ingnoring reality so you can push a narrative. And a ton of brain damaged Americans are eating it up.
