Stop here?
So I thought I'd have a go at some water lillies using Monet as some inspiration.
Stop here or is there things I can do to add to it or make it better?

Tested the Eberhard Faber set. Cheap to buy and you get 50 colours. Too hard for me, but that could be because I tested it on a smooth surface. Still looking for the perfect paper...

As the title says, what kind of paper do you use with your oil pastels?

I was going for a minimalist pop art feel, but it feels unfinished. Ideas?

Dumoine River in Quebec.
I decided on a whim to try to use an impasto style for the whitewater and I am still undecided as to whether I like the result. I haven’t practiced that technique much and was surprised at how much more time consuming it is and I had difficulty controlling it. Any impasto suggestions or suggestions for how to approach capturing the turbulence of whitewater?

Tetons NP
Been working with oil pastel now for a couple months and starting to get the hang of it. Still struggling heavily with clouds, especially dark clouds versus white puffy clouds. Any advice for creating clouds and getting more delicate wispy shapes versus chunky blocks would be greatly appreciated!

Mother and Son
My father passed away unexpectedly in May and was survived by both his parents. I’m making art to help myself grieve and hopefully help my family remember the good times we all have had together with him. I will be sending this to my grandmother as it was one of her favorite recent pictures together.
