theory I just realized why Saitama is bald
Like I know it's meant to be a joke to be bald. Get stronger -> no hair = funny. But then I realized it's a direct opposite to dragonball series where the hair grows longer when you become stronger, in Saitama it's the exact opposite. The stronger you get, the shorter the hair, so no hair = strongest. With all the references of vaccine man I can't believe I'm just realizing it now. Or maybe I'm wrong and ONE just thinks being bald is funny idk.

As others have stated, the baldness is key to the story of appearance being how people are judged by others. Baldness being undervalued in a society makes it easy for Saitama to be under looked and mistrusted, so people don't see his true heroic qualities. It's probably the only reason the world doesn't know his strength yet, and is willing to attribute all his feats to King, who has a great head of hair.
PS - this is why I believe Glasses will be God's final avatar and the final boss of the story.
