Even if that is true, that's not this post.

All it says is that they both accept the call of god though? And that’s correct nothing also is compared in their characters

That's weak as hell. By the same logic, we could say garou is like a priest from infinite other media.

We all learned in highschool literature that parallels have to be more than skin deep for them to matter.

OPM being like guts isn't the worst comparison because Guts had a tendency to cleave everything in one swing as well, however that's also painfully bad because Guts fought with malice and revenge and Saitama fights out of boredom.

Yes but you are misunderstanding the post completely, it’s not saying anything about narrative it’s main reference was too artistic similarity I’m pretty sure, the same way they have referenced berserk in the past with garou parallels to guts, they are just artistic and respectful references to muratas favorite manga it has no weight on the story itself

What are you smoking? The post literally calls each pairing out with a thematic comparison. "Those who turn their back on God". LITERALLY HAS WEIGHT ON THE STORY.

Those who turn their back on bad is a surface level statement about the character it’s not some thematic analysis about their morals and philosophy, the characters are very different, that doesn’t mean the statement this guy made is wrong
