As expected, he looks incredible (pre-orders open September 9th)

I just realized something now that I'm rewatching the first announcement of season 3. This scene where Saitama looks exhausted is the incorporation of the 2D and 3D animation combo that Shinpei was talking about, and I never heard anyone else mention anything about this particular scene right here because it always looked slightly strange whenever I saw it.

Maybe we're not so cooked.

Before anyone decides to be a smartass, this is not a post about the CM, PV, or even the staff as a whole. Just how we’re publicly treating the director and how it’s going to affect things.

People have NO and ZERO faith in this director. It’s somewhat reasonable, but to go out of your way to make a video shaming a director for hentai that he was associated in nearly 20 years ago is sickening. People are going above and beyond to shame him into the ground. Do we want a good season 3 or not? People are ONLY mentioning the hentai. Forget the Dr stone and other anime scripting, the connections, the multiple non-ecchi anime he’s directed… right?

Tell me this, would you be motivated and encouraged to make a work of art if everyone that knew you were doing it consistently shamed you about your past works? Probably not, right? This is the EXACT reason why the director chose to keep his identity under wraps. It’s for this EXACT reason. He was afraid people would be disappointed that he was chosen. And boy was he right. Look how you people are treating him?

This isn’t about what he did, it’s what he can do. This is about One Punch Man and its reputation. For the sake of what you want, a good animated season, please treat him better just this once. There’s a month to go, you guys can do it.

i just got into one punch man since last month, i've watched all of it's anime, now i've got to the saitama vs cosmic garou part in the manga,

so from my understanding: so basically saitama fought a copy of himself that match his power, so saitama kept being pushed to absolute limit until that copy of himself couldn't replicate the growth of the original?

This isn’t a cherry picked clip either. This is CONSISTENTLY how the 3D looked in season 2. JCstaff has some of the best 3D animation in anime PERIOD.

I’ve seen some absurd videos and discussions about people complaining about the confirmed use of 3D and 2D animation that will be present in season 3. Theyre complaining about how bad it’s going to be… even though we haven’t at all seen it. I’ve even seen some batshit crazy talk that there’ll even be 2.5D animation?? Like where are you people getting this from? (2.5D is animation like DBS SUPER HERO)

Please for the love of all that is unholy… stop complaining about something that is the ONLY thing if nothing that JC does well, and something that we haven’t even seen yet. People are legitimately just hating to hate. It’s not me coping or trying to lure you into delusion, this is genuinely the only thing JCstaff can ace and you people are saying it’s gonna be bad with NO reason to say it.

And before people start saying things… I’m talking about the very evident thick black outline around the characters. Not the general lining in its entirety

Anyone got any watchdog man theories? I’m very interested by his character and there’s little we’ve seen of him. He has that same blank expression saitama has and so far what has been seen of him looks like it is setting up a big reveal of some sorts. Like how Amai mask was revealed to be a monster in the latest chapters

ONE masked perfectly this story with God one if you think about it. - Colossal Dragon became embodiment of destruction and took lives[God does creates Monsters, and causes destruction and chaos] - Ancient warriors that managed to weaken the Cruel Dragon and scattered the Dragon's Qi into nine stone(they look like God's cubes) and sealed them in shrines in various places[Powerful warriors weakened God and sealed him in his dimension and his power is scattered into cubes and works like connection in different places] - Duty of watching over the Cruel Dragon's seals was passed to out branch known as "saints"[ Blast and his buddies looking after God's cubes and watching over the dimensional gate] - Those who believe themselves to be a Dragon-Born and plan to revive sealed Cruel Dragon belong to organization known as "Deathbone"[ The Evil Organization who is possibly behind Robot Organization or some other villians are planning to release God from his dimension] God also need worthy sacrifice as mentioned to be able to roam on Earth as he wants and be "reaurrected".
