Thanks for having me yer cunts!
This was my first longer camping/hiking trip and it was phenomenal. I only did short test trips back in Germany and did a lot of research, but I knew I had sufficient fitness for at least 20 km per day for a long time.
I followed the Outdoor Access Code and all other regulation as well as I could and want to thank all people that look after the outdoors, support your kind of regulation and that grant access to their land, Thank you Scotland!

I guess the shortest distance between A and B is NOT a straight line after all.ย

I set waypoints inbetween of course ;), but I mostly set up the route to have frequent restocking options.

โYerโ is most likely to mean โyoursโ (belonging to โyouโ). I think you mean โyaโ. Glad you had a nice time tho

Did you see any midges?

In the midle of the day it was okay mostly, when the wind died down in the evening there have been days when you could barely see through them. Midgenet and gloves are your friend there.

Amazing - thanks for visiting and enjoying our beautiful wee country.
Out of interest how many days did it take in the end and did you have any rest days alone the way (either planned or due to weather etc.)?

I took 21 Days, with three half rest days (two of them consecutively from noon to noon), not pushing myself to hard. Contrary to expectations the weather was pretty amazing, I barely had rain beyond a drizzle, but I had to leave out some summits (Ben Macdui and Arkle) because of heavy wind or low clouds.

I managed to pick a lot of before they bit, but had around fifteen bites, including two on private places. I often checked for circular rashes and stuff (also with photos)

What hike was this? Where there enough shops during this trip to restock on food? Or did you carry all the food?

I hope every midgie on the way up bit you. I especially hope one of those midgies had a cows bum hair stuck in his teeth and gave you an infection๐๐
Glad you enjoyed yer stay but youโll of had your tea?
