Hiking on Mamores Estate during stalking season?
Hi everyone! I'm doing my first hikes in Scotland this month and wanted to do the Mamores while I'm in Glencoe. However, I'm aware that stalking season has started on the mamores estate. I mainly wanted to do Binnein Mòr and Na Gruagaichean. Are folks allowed to hike during stalking season if they stick to main paths? Many thanks for any advice!

As has been mentioned you’ll be absolutely fine! Deer don’t like people so tend to stay away from any footpaths and well used routes. So anyone stalking will also avoid those areas.
Mountaineering Scotland has some good information too.

Check out a resource called 'Heading for the Scottish Hills' - it's a website/ application that tells you when and where stalking is happening. Very useful planning tool!

Also no stalking on Sundays if you were concerned

Not necessarily. Lots of places are now stalking on a Sunday. Although this isn’t usually the more traditional estates who are taking clients out for a trophy.

If you're sticking to the standard routes then you'll be fine. They might publish information by the car park but they know the routes up the Munros are popular so will tend to avoid those areas. If you really want you can always contact the estate but personally I wouldn't bother.
