How did your original cancer center miss the fact that your tumor was estrogen positive?! Did they not do tumor profiling!?

They were about to put me back in chemo until I went on my own for 2nd and 3rd opinions. They ultimately probably would have killed me had I not taken the initiative to seek other opinions

It is common for pathologists to ask for second and third opinions.

Did you initiate the 2nd or third opinion or do your team send it for consultation because it was a tricky case and they ultimately wanted to get it right for you, the patient?

It’s a roller coaster of emotions, I am not a lawyer but I’m getting that you don’t need the extra stress. And I’m not very sure you can “win” in a case where it’s just a tricky case, not negligence or malpractice. But like I asked, who had the biopsy sent for 2nd and 3rd opinions?

If it was them it kinda sounds like they were being responsible, but the 2nd opinion didn’t match so they got a 3rd.

Oh I’m very sorry that happened, but relieved you got things straight.
