I think the emphasis keeps getting put on the puddle to make it look silly to people, when the real problem is that the graphics just plain look worse. No one cares about the damn puddle.

First of all, yes I do need my eyes checked. No that does not have any bearing on this. If anything I think it's worse that someone with shitty eyesight can see the difference. It is much worse than the time of day being different. The suit literally looks downgraded, and that's just from what I see. I have seen others make a good sized list of changes in the visual quality.

100% This. People and the media are absolutely emphasizing the "puddle" to make it sound and look dumb. The problem wasn't only the puddle and never was only the puddle. The puddle was just part of it. I don't understand how people can't look at the screenshots and see a noticeable difference in quality being downgraded. Everything from textures, to lighting to ambient occlusion. And no one, ever said the game itself would suffer or be bad at all because of it.

Right. I'm still getting the game. I'm sure it will still be great. I'm just bothered by the fact that the visual quality was better in the gameplay trailer. And I'm someone who is really bad at seeing the difference in visual quality. I can't imagine how bad it must look to someone with better eyes than I have.

It’s the same thing as the “pink Vader” EA bullshit. They use something silly which obvious isn’t what the complains are about to make those people look silly and ridiculous
